💍Ever After (CORE) MOD 💍{DOWNLOAD}

Hey Guys! Welcome to Ever After, a storytelling mod that for Better or Worse (hehe) will add a little bit of spice to your sims stories regarding marriage!

Keep in mind that this is just the CORE version and will be expanded on in future updates (like World Tour or Growing Pains). So How Does this work?

TO BE OR NOT TO BE

There are two new traits: Ready and NOT Ready for Marriage. Sims (YA-Elder) can pick whichever they desire through Shift Click Cheats or by taking a Marriage Readiness Test on the Computer.

If your Sims opt to take the online test they'll be given a random result and can choose to accept those results or deny them. Accepting gives the sims the trait and denying obviously does not. They can retake the test whenever they want. You can also ask sims if they're marriage material as well.

For the most part its mainly storytelling but some changes were made, for example, sims who aren't ready for marriage can NOT propose nor can they be proposed to! If you have a sim fantasize about weddings on the wedding arches, they'll get nauseous!

HERE'S A PROPOSAL

One thing I've always wanted to attempt was to change how sims respond to a marriage proposal. Now when a sim is asked, you'll get a bit of new dialog and its up to YOU to decide on what the answer should be.

Saying yes will push the proposal forward. Saying no will push a proposal but you'll end up rejecting it. Both will earn notifications and some familiar buffs if you've been around my Patreon since the beginning!

If a proposal is rejected, the couples will unlock new interactions such as "Discuss the future of relationship" or "Question the rejected proposal". Be Careful, your sims might not get the answer they were looking for! Each will come with moodlets!

You can even pick the reason why you rejected (more may be added in future updates)

Caution: The Animation used was the proposal one in game, It can be a little weird or might not fully play at all if sims are already sitting down. I would advise you to have your sims stand up before attempting this! (Future plans to add custom proposal animations)

ON TO THE NEXT DESTINATION

Destination Weddings have always been a thing but I wanted to add some storytelling to the decisions being made. Your Sims can choose their dream destination wedding location:

If your sims manage to get married in their dream wedding destination there's a chance they'll earn a milestone for it as well:

READY OR KNOT?

A New App/Website has joined the Jordy Modderverse!

Each Interaction will have their own different buffs as well, some good and some bad!

Another Perk is setting up a wedding registry! All you have to do is sign up and you can edit the registry at any time:

Your choices are free simoleons that go towards your household funds, simoleons towards your wedding budget or exploring the Marketplace:

When you've made a selection there's nothing that needs to be done! Over the next few days guests will be sending in money or gifts towards your sims based on their preferences! You'll be notified every time a guest sends you something

WHAT ABOUT THE GUESTS?

Speaking of Guests, Couples can perform interactions such as Going over The Guest list or they can write down the guest list in a Journal (Parenthood or LD Req.) Each interaction will gain a moodlet:

STORY TIME

I've added some interactions for storytelling between sims who are engaged to one another and to sims outside of the relationship as well! I'm not going to list them all but they can all be found under the Ever After pie menu! Each one comes with buffs, notifications or both!

PRENUPS GET YOUR PRENUPS!

You can ask your significant other about signing a prenup! It can go well or it can go really, really bad! If it goes bad expect some relationship loss! Both outcomes will offer moodlets, notifications and sentiments depending on the result!

If it comes down to yours sims agreeing to sign the prenup, have them visit the Notary's Office (M-F 8AM to 5PM) which can be found on their phones under the Ever After Pie Menu. They'll go to a rabbithole and when they return they'll get a prenup in their inventory:

Prenups are for storytelling but I do aim to have some interesting changes in a future update!

ARE WE A MATCH?

If you're ever curious if your sims are a match for marriage, visit the marriage counseling center for 1500 and you'll learn whether or not its a match made perfectly or a disaster!

COLD FEET

It wouldn't be a marriage based mod without adding a little something different! YES! Sims can experience Cold Feet. If your sim is ever feeling a negative emotion (ex: stressed) you can click on them and have them Stress Over Wedding.

Naturally Sims will freakout and there's a chance they'll recover OR they'll actually get Cold Feet:

Sims with cold feet can go to counseling to get it taken care of, talk to other sims (not your fiancé) about it OR they can Admit to having cold feet with their partner and hopefully things will turn out okay...

They can also Practice their vows in the mirror (any engaged sim can do this btw) and get it removed!

As I mentioned before Sims can practice their vows in the mirror and get mixed reactions!

There are so many things I plan on adding (A lot of things didnt make the cut for the first version) but I'm excited to hear what you all think!
