🎸World Tour MOD 🎸 {I'm With the Band} Module #1

ONE BAND ONE SOUND

Something I KNOW you guys have been asking about is the ability to create bands! And I'd like to think I've made it work in some form! Which introduces to our first world tour module "I'm With the Band"!

This optional addon features the ability for artists to form bands! How it works is you'll need a sim who is either signed to a label OR is an independent artist. Click on your sim and under the new World Tour Menu, Select Create Band:

Your Sims will get a notification stating that the band has been created and the initiating sim is the de facto leader of the group! With being the Band Leader there are a lot of new interactions tied to that!

Under the new Band Management Menu, Band Leaders will find they can either Search for potential members on the PC or they can put out an advertisement. They may get a call back from someone seeking to join and it'll be up to your sim to decide to pass or reject the applicant.

I had to do a workaround due to bandmembers (who are not the band leader) not actually knowing the other sims in the band and recognizing them as a bandmate. So you'll need to use a quick Shift + Click, go to World Tour and use the Bandmate Cheat to add the relationship with other sims who aren't the band leader!

GROUP DYNAMICS

I wanted there to be some sense of conflict cause why not! That is why I've created 2 new systems just for this!

The first is called Band Dynamic. This is the vibes between group members! Some members may not mesh well with other members including your sim! And sometimes they'll work well together!

The Dynamics are:

1. Secret Rivalry: These Sims may be in the same group, but they're certainly not on the same page. (music sheet)

2. Creative Collaborators: Something about these sims appreciation for music and the art of it makes them see each other on a whole nother level!

3. Just Business: These Sims are together in this band strictly for business. No animosity between them, just not interested in building anything further than co-worker status.

Now dynamics can change for better or worse! So if you want to work on dynamics for the better or maybe you'd rather spice up your gameplay, there are interactions both in game and in this mod that can shift the dynamics! Mean Interactions increase Rivalry and Friendly can increase Creative Collaborators, Just Business can slightly be increased by Friendly interactions.

GROUP APPEAL

The second dynamic is called Group Appeal. Now this one is tricky cause its different depending on the group. Since the game doesn't recognize the "band" as one unit, I had to make it in a way that from a storytelling/gameplay perspective, each member will have their own idea of what the band's image or appeal is!

There are 5 that your sim may experience:

1. Garage Band

2. Amateur Hour

3. One Hit Wonder

4. Opening Act

5. Headliner

I like the idea that each band member may have a different idea of what the group's appeal could be. Maybe the band leader thinks the group is headliner material but you've got a vocalist who thinks they're better off still in the garage working on cover songs idk lol.

I'M MOVING ON WITHOUT YOU

Tired of being in a band? Feeling like your identity is getting lost? Well not to worry, your sims can opt to Leave the Band and Go Solo! Similar to the Create Band interaction, just click on your sim and decide to go solo. Or they can make a post about it on their Phones or the Computer (World Tour Menu).

Now when this happens, your sims lose all their bandmates (naturally) and this could impact a lot of things!

Impacts:

1. Fame

2. Reputation

3. Fans

4. Music Streams (Band Only)

5. Money

There's no telling if any of these will be negative, positive or a mixture of both! There's a chance you may gain fans but also ruin your reputation. Band Mates may call your sims after the news breaks out!

You'll even get a sentiment afterwards!

KNOW YOUR ROLE

Band Leaders can assign various roles for their bandmates! These are purely for gameplay/storytelling purposes. I just thought it was a cute idea! There aren't any limits to how ever many roles you assign but only the band leader can assign roles!

BE A LEADER!

On the topic of assigning roles, Band Leaders have access to a new menu option in the World Tour App called Band Management:

There are a lot of activities you can do with a group and yes, you can pick and choose who you want to go with you.

They'll also be able to reach out to band members to do a check in and see how they're feeling, look for other band members,

SECOND LEG OF THE TOUR

I initially had this idea for V1 of World Tour but it caused more headaches than anything else. But it's finally working! Band Leaders, get your artists together and let's hit the road on a world tour!

Click on your sims phone and select "Schedule Tour Dates" and then you'll be able to pick and choose who you want within your band to go on a tour! (Note for this first release, the tour is only the standard 3 days. Longer tours may be planned for the future)

Just like a solo tour EVERYONE is going to get a nice paycheck when returning home and will get a moodlet preventing them from touring for a few days!

GET OFF THE TOUR BUS

If you've got a problematic group member or that secret rivalry has been going on for far too long, as band leader, you can kick sims out of the group! But be warned, not every member is going to take it quite the way you'd expect. Some may even get violent!

Band Leaders can simply click on the problematic sim and then you can choose which option is the reason for kicking them out!

You'll get a notification and different buffs for both sims depending on the reason!

Sims will also take a friendship hit and earn a new relationship type:
