I've added a CC Report feature for easily sharing and assessing your CC builds. This is accessed via a new Construction Center button, which will grow with time to become your main point of access for Better BuildBuy's future settings, features, and help guides. Favorites have also received an improvement in behavior.
Added a Construction Center button to the filter panel. This will become the main hub for future Better BuildBuy features and options.
Added a CC Report option to the Construction Center menu, which will generate a list of all CC packages used in your current build.
The CC Report will open in your browser, and has an "Export Spreadsheet" option at the bottom, where you can add a column for links to the creators' CC pages.
Enhanced the favorites system so that favoriting a swatch variant won't require you to have that color selected in the filters in order to see the favorite. This was causing some players to mistakenly think the favorite hadn't been saved.
Color filters can still be used in favorites view to exclusively filter to the selected colors.

New to Better BuildBuy? This video will help you get started quickly.
Ever wanted to be able to pin the objects you use the most?
Better BuildBuy now has a favorites category that allows you to do just that!
Here's a quick start, in addition to the tutorial video above.
Features:
Easily favorite objects with your mouse middle click (track pads can usually middle click with 3 finger tap or by pressing left and right buttons simultaneously)
Favorites will stay even between mod versions.
Debug and LiveEdit categories will automatically turn on the corresponding filter if it's not on when selected. This will avoid the "my debug is empty" issue.
Inventory automatically turns on the debug filter if it's not on when selected, due to the frequency that debug objects end up in inventory.
Added Feature Update Notifications
Favorites Quick Start:
Middle (wheel) click your mouse on an object to mark it as a favorite. You'll see a teal bookmark appear when favorited.
Go to Browse by Function and set the dropdown to Favorites to show all of your favorited items.
While in favorites, you can middle click to mark the object for removal from favorites. This is indicated by a small red bookmark.
Removal is confirmed when you leave favorites or leave build mode.
Notes:
When you favorite an item in a category that has "new item" markers, they will be removed temporarily. This is necessary because of how the catalog recycles cells for each object. The new object markers will return when you change categories.
This currently works only on objects and not build items like floors, wallpapers, etc.
I have plans to expand this feature in the future, but feel this is a perfect starting point.

Better BuildBuy now detects if a player has left the mods list in the main menu turned on while having a large amount of mods, which can cause much longer load times unnecessarily. It will explain and offer to turn the list off for you.

Updated EA Desktop permission fix instructions.
v2.7.1 UPDATE: Anyone who has reinstalled TS4 using the new EA Desktop app may have ran into a UAC error when trying to turn on BBB's Organized Debug. This is due to EA Desktop's file permissions defaulting to read-only. v2.7.1 finally has an automatic fix for this, and BBB will fix the TS4 permissions on your behalf. If you have User Account Control turned on (the windows "are you sure?" messages), you'll be asked to allow "icacls.exe" to run. This is normal and is BBB attempting to repair your TS4 permissions for you. Click yes and BBB will be able to turn on Organized Debug without issue.
Originally designed for Create-A-World's Lighting Editor, the color wheel control for lighting is coming to Better BuildBuy.
It's still accessed via shift+clicking lights in build mode, but now the control includes complete control over the lighting color. For support with existing builds, the control still includes the EA preset swatches.
Yes, the lighting does share through the gallery.
No, the lighting does not make your build CC.

Welcome to BBB v2.5!
Two main changes - firstly, I've added MOO and Ignore Unlocks to the BBB options.
They can be found under the Organized Debug checkbox.
Secondly, my discontinued BuildBuy Deletion Fix mod has been renewed as part of BBB's features. For those unaware, this was a cheat that stopped BuildBuy from deleting anything, allowing you to make changes like wallpaper or modifying architecture without losing your objects. This is now an option in BBB's filter panel. Unlike the other options, it does not persist between sessions. This is intentional, as you should only turn it on while necessary and turn it back off immediately after. Undo may not work for anything you do with it on. You will also receive a pop-up when turning it on, reminding you of this. No, the pop-up is not negotiable, it's one extra click and is still much faster than typing the old cheat. Without it, our support team would be inundated with players asking why they can't delete objects.
Updates:
Added new "permission denied" error message for the few users who kept getting the desync message over and over, making the actual issue more clear to the user.
The two warning files inside the tmex-betterbuildbuy folder now delete automatically after first successful run, to reduce chances of player confusion
Added a MoveObjects toggle to the BBB filter options. Do NOT use the cheat anymore. Setting will persist.
Added an Ignore Unlocks toggle to the BBB filter options. Do NOT use the cheat anymore. Setting will persist.

New Features:
Having Organized Debug on no longer causes your lot to be marked as CC. That means you no longer have to restart the game constantly.
A Light Editor has been added to build mode, with a dropdown for light selection. You can access it by shift+clicking any light.
Debug/LiveEdit Objects for packs you don't own will no longer appear in the catalog.
"Kit" pack filters have been split into their individual kits, so you can pick exactly which kit you want to see.
Added a "Desync" dialog message. There's a few occasions where Organized Debug can be left in a bad state, for example after deleting your resource.cfg. This new dialog will show when organized debug needs reset. If you get it, all you should need to do is restart your game once and then you can continue using it as you normally would.

Better BuildBuy Quick-Start
You don't have to use Organized Debug for TOOL. Just don't check the filter.
Do NOT use debug or liveedit cheats. Use their respective filters instead.
Do NOT use MOO or Entitlement Cheats. Use their respective filters instead.
Do NOT install buildcam or expandable catalog separately. They're included in BBB.
Filters are different! Please don't ask where your CC went.
Filters work as follows: Hide Maxis - Hides all regular objects that aren't debug, liveedit, or cc. Debug - Shows debug objects, replaces the need for the debug cheat. LiveEdit - Shows LiveEdit objects, replaces the need for the liveedit cheat. Custom Content - Shows Custom Content objects. Off by default, be sure to check this if you want your CC visible. Filters stay set even when you close your game, so you'll only need to turn CC on once if desired.Press 1 (number row) to toggle catalog size.
Press Tab to activate Freecam mode in build.
If you'd like to use Organized Debug, open the game and open your buildbuy filters. Scroll to Better BuildBuy and select Organized Debug. You'll receive a pop-up and will be told to restart. After doing so, Organized Debug is active.
If you're completely new to BBB, I recommend watching my original tutorial.
Install Instructions
⚠ FOLLOW IT WORD FOR WORD. ⚠
1. Delete any existing copies you have for BBB.
2. Open the "TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy v3.2.9 Official" zip and drag the "Tmex-BetterBuildBuy" folder inside to your mods root. (No subfolders!)
3. That's it! Don't restructure or move the files in any way NOTE: On Mac, .zip files may automatically be unzipped when downloaded. In that case, drag the newly downloaded folder to your mods.
Uninstall Instructions
Hate to see you go, but if you are, it's best if you do the following first:
1. Open your game with the mod installed.
2. Turn off Organized Debug in your filter panel.
3. Close your game.
4. You may now delete the mod.

Hi! Thank you for your work on the mod. However, I've been running into an issue since the latest update: the lighting color change feature in Better Build Buy isn't working at all for me. I've already done a complete cleanup of my files, cleared my caches with a utility tool, verified that script mods are enabled, and cleanly reinstalled the latest version of the mod (along with lot51_core), but the lighting tool refuses to activate properly in Build Mode. Is there a known conflict or a specific fix for this? Thanks in advance for your help!
It doesn't work. Better Exceptions indicates that this mod is causing the problem.

Hi all, BBB is giving me an "Incorrect Better Buildbuy Installation" error, even when the mod is completely removed out of my mods folder! Does anyone have the same issue? It's preventing me from being able to use the filters panel in build/buy mode. I'm trying to think what could cause the game to think BBB is installed, let alone incorrectly, when it's not installed. A settings file? If anyone else has had the same problems let me know :(

Ever since the latest game update. I have had problems with this mod. When the mod is installed, the the menu in buildmode is scrambled making it impossible to build. I have deleted and reinstalled it (following the instructions) and it is still not working.

When sims added the flashing shopping cart, I was scared, because sims is my escape, and flashing is dangerous for Epilepsy. You got rid of the shopping cart. You made it safe to play. I know that this update broke a lot of mods, and Life and Death will probably break mods again, so thank you for taking your time 💖💖💖💖💖

Follow is not for non server owners. You need to read the rules and do the action described there to get full access to the server.
I'm having the same problem as everyone else. I've uninstalled/re-installed several times and get the glitch.
i'm having the same trouble as these other cats... I'm installing it correctly, but the graphics in build mode are glitching.
BBB has to be updated. Even if you installed it correctly it's not going to work with the update. Better to take it out and play without it while we wait for an update. TMexi will update when he can.
the problem also says that it is incorrectly installed. I have already watched the installation tutorial 5 times. I reinstalled it 10 times. I even thought that it was in conflict with something, but I went through each mod separately. I am really looking forward to the update ❤❤❤❤
for some reason my whole buy mode is messed up eveerything is clashing and glitching into each other its almost unsuable that death update took out all the mods :((

I have the Better Build and Tool and my game updated and now they dont work... Well it made my game go wonky and it says BBB is too deep in mods folder which its not was working fine before update.. Ive tried everything to try and fix.. Tool wont open and when it does after I close it my arrow keys wont work no more I need Help Please!!!!!
I'm getting the error that it's installed incorrectly too. It made the ui wonky. But I think EA messed up the buildbuy in the latest patch as I can't place things where I want to. I've also done Sejian's fix for patch updates.

I already knew that I loved BBB. But, it kept saying error when I tried putting it back in, and I couldn't figure out why! I deleted everything simsulani, and decided to see if BBB would load. Has anyone run into an issue of favourited items not saving as such? I seem to be having a problem with this. I mark an item as favourited, but when I move away from that category (ie. sofas) and go back, it's no longer favourited. The game isn't generating a favourites section in the BBB filters, either, so in spite of me being able to use the mouse wheel to click and apply the star, it's not actually saving it. I'm running the most recent versions of everything and the rest of BBB seems to be working just fine. I'm not aware of any conflicts that might be causing this, so I'm curious if anyone else has run into this and knows what the cause might be?

I did what I was told to install, but I can't see some Lovestruck debug items.For example, bouquets or canopies..In LiveEdit mode, 205 debugs are shown, but in reality, there should be more than this. Please help me...TT

Is this mod working since the new updates/pack?
I'm getting an error message saying I don't have the right BBB installed, but I def do, I tried following the reset steps however I may be doing something wrong. I'm also having issues with the tool mod not opening up in build mode. I've been having this issue for months. I'm not sure what else I'm doing wrong. I had to exit build buy to open tool unfortunately.
When I moved with only MCCC and BBB and Organized Debug enabled, I got the error code "123". I had no choice but to switch back to my home SIM and got the error "mc_lastexception". Both the mods and the game are up to date.
After much research, it appears that a specific section was bugged. When I changed the section to something else, the error went away. I'm very sorry for the trouble.

I have updated my NVIDIA drivers. I enabled Organized Debug in BBB, but an error code appears and I cannot play the game. If I disable Organized Debug in BBB, I can play the game without any problems. There seems to be a problem with BBB, please investigate. If you have no conflicting mods and both your game and mod are up to date then it will work.

I haven't been able to reproduce that but the two things to check world be that you've refreshed your organized debug catalog, and that you don't have conflicting mods in. Better exceptions has a conflict scanner you can run

It keeps saying I installed bbb wrong, but I followed the directions to a T.
If you mean actual files that say that, it's because you're never supposed to look inside that folder. The files are always there. If it's an in-game popup, means either it is installed incorrectly, or you have a conflicting mod. You can use Better Exception's Conflict Report to see which mod it is.
Question: If I install new packs/kits/etc, do I need to refresh Organized Debug?

So I downloaded the file like I always do but I see a note saying, If you see this while installing, your doing it wrong. I dont understand that part. I downloaded it, deleted the zip and pulled the file into my mods folder like always.
That file is always there, because you're not supposed to be in that folder. If it's actually installed wrong you'll receive a notice in game.

I am following the download instructions exactly, but when I move the "Tmex-BetterBuildBuy" folder from the zip and into my mods folder (with no subfolders), it has 2 text documents telling me that if I am seeing this, I am installing it wrong and to reread the instructions. Should I be moving the items from the BBB folder to the mods folder instead? I've tried everything!

So when I updated to this version of BB&B, my sims' thought bubbles became strangely angry.. err. Well, instead of puffy thought clouds, jagged splashes. Oh, and the icons are off-center, and well, they might also be bigger, but I'm not sure; it could be the trauma of thinking my sims are angry with each other. Hahaha! Anyway, is this your mod, or do I need to think harder?

BBB stops gems from charging.
I don't know what's going on but when ever I have BBB on it screws up my cheats. The testingcheats true/bb.moveobjectss and others all turn off and I don't know why. It only happens when I have BBB on. Is there another mod you have that might be causing this issue cause I have nearly all yours except for the ones I know conflict with each other.
