TwistedMexi's More Rentals v1.2
EDIT: v1.2 Fixes More Rentals UI for Businesses & Hobbies patch.
This is a new mod that bypasses the 100 rental unit limit.
Currently I've set the limit to 250. This might be increased in time as more is learned about any potential consequences to going beyond 100.
This mod completed a week long beta test and 3 week long early access period and did not receive any reports of issues. However, discretion is still advised when using this mod as the For Rent system is still relatively unknown territory. Backup saves you care about, just in case.
If you do run into any issues, please report them on the discord.
Notes:
Enables 250 rental units per save.
Enables placing rental lots from the gallery up to 250 units.
Units on a single lot are still limited to 6.
EA removed the 'bb.increaserentalunitcap on' cheat due to save corruption, so it isn't and never will be possible to increase a single lot's unit cap beyond 6. This mod has nothing to do with that.
Install Instructions:
1. Open the zip file below and drag the Tmex-MoreRentals.package to your Mods folder.
2. Your save's rental caps will automatically be bumped to 250 max.

I have no idea if this or any other mod would even require an update. Please don't ask before the patch has dropped. Thanks.
Y'all EA removed the cheat, so we can't use this mod because the cheat was needed in order for this to work. I just went down a rabbit hole, it was deactivated the end of 2025.
This is not true because that was never what this mod did. It increases the cap per save file not per lot.
is there an issue with teh rental cap cheat it will not popup in my game
I am also having this issue. I type in "bb.increaserentalunitcap on" and nothing happens. Unable to add more than 6 rentals. I am not using anything with it that I haven't used before. This has been an issue since the last update.
This mod id showing needs updating on my BE report. Is their an update?

I dont know how to use discord. This mod makes my build tools for example the wall size section, move, copy tool pixeled. Help!

Even if you never hit the 6 max limit or use the cheat to increase limits, the bug can still corrupt your game. However, some have been able to get access into the buildbuy of affected lots to fix them that way by switching lot type to something else, then back to Residential Rental. Seems to think these lots are apparently unfinished community lots, thus the bug.
