No Texting & Walking v1.0 - Public Release
The sims team appears to have added an animation to walking where your sim will pull out their cellphone. While that's a nice modern touch, it doesn't do wonders for those doing era or historical gameplays.
This is a low profile mod that stops all sims from pulling their phone out mid-walk.
Install Instructions
1. OPEN the zip, do not use any extract options.
2. Inside will be a .package file. Drag it to your Mods folder.
3. Make sure gameplay options have mods turned on.
That's it!

The constant texting drives me crazy. Thank you! I wish there was away to just have a landline. EA went way overboard with Sims desire to interact with their cells. I wouldn't mind it so much if they only did it a few times a day.

I just have to say THANK GOD FOR THIS. I'm doing a R2R right now and it has been taking my sim FOREVER to gather collectibles because she's always looking at her stupid phone!

Me too. It's all I can do to keep playing - never thought something like that could be so game breaking for me, but wow, it's beyond annoying.
Amazing! Will there be a version that stops sims using their phone idly? I've found since the new update and EP, my sims are constantly on their phones, even if they aren't teens

I had this in my game. Put it in the mods folder. Sim STILL walked & texted. :(
Make sure mods are enabled and that you have the package file in, but a .zip

This is so, so amazing!! Thank you so much for fixing this! I completely loathe this new feature so I was so relieved to see you've made this mod. Any chance you'll be releasing mods to stop the rest of the phone idles? Such as when the Sims are sitting? Apparently the new update means the Sims are on their phones constantly so to know that could be reversed would be so amazing. Thank you so much again for this - eternally grateful. If you hadn't have made this Sims 4 would be a write off for me.
When I open the zip file (with winrar, not extracting, just duoble clicking to open like you said) there is just a package file, no script file inside.
Not every mod requires a script.
