Neighborhood Stories Viewer v1.2 - UI Cheats Fix
v1.2 Updates:
Fixed a strange incompatibility that could arise only when TOOL, NSV, and UI Cheats were all installed together, without my AllCheats mod present. There was no technical conflict but it seems something about how the Stories Viewer widget was being added was causing UI Cheat's Needs widget to get ignored, preventing the clickable needs cheat from functioning. This is now fixed, though I unfortunately still don't understand how it was causing an issue in the first place 🙃

Hey everyone, if you're following along in the #caw_progress_feed on the Discord you know I've been stuck on fixing the coastal lots for awhile. I wanted to make sure patrons got another release before end of month so I've got a smaller mod to make reading neighborhood stories a little more tolerable. This mod adds a viewer that will load 10 stories at a time, and will continue to load them as you scroll. It also completely separates them from the normal Notification feed, making it easier to read through without getting interrupted by other notifications.
It can be accessed by just clicking the Show Recent Neighborhood Stories interaction on the mailbox per usual.
Clicking the notification wall button or the trash can icon will close the viewer and clear them automatically.

Install Instructions
⚠ FOLLOW IT WORD FOR WORD. ⚠
1. Open the "TwistedMexi's Story Progression Viewer Official" zip by
👉double-clicking it👈, don't use any extract options.
2. Drag the "Tmex-StoryProgressionViewer" folder inside to your mods root.
That's it! Do NOT restructure or modify the files in any way.
3. Make sure Mods and👉Script👈 Mods are enabled in gameplay options -> "Other". Restart if it wasn't.

I do not have the All Scenarios and am also getting a BE for Story Progression.
That could be caused by a lot of things, come to discord.twistedmexi.com and we can help
I got a Better Exception saying this mod is a broken UI Mod.
Did detection type say all or broken? (black bar under header)

TY Was it a newspaper in Sims 1 or 2 that gave all the info of the day. I miss that.
The Sims 3 definitely had that feature, I used to love having my sims grab the newspaper each day to check the local news. The Story Progression mod for TS3 also added notifications for sims getting together, getting married, breaking up, and having kids, which I also loved.

Thank you!! This works perfectly in my game and is so much nicer. It's like reading a trashy gossip mag now, just instead of celebrities (you don't count Judith) it's all about the neighbors. 😂
A BIG THANK YOU for doing this little but wonderful mod!
Not like I expect much logic, but I do not understand why EA wouldn't have done it this way. I stopped checking because I have no patience for it. Maybe because if they were all displayed at once, you'd see how many kids were getting adopted every day and realize how unfinished the underlying mechanic still is.
Pretty sure not checking often is how error 0 came about. But I hear you.
Oh! Thank you for this. I find the current UI for this very clunky, but I love the feature. This will make it more fun.
