Patreon Bank Issues, affecting lots of users
Hey all!
So, this past August 1st, there was some sort of issue on Patreon's end that made a lot of users banks, claim their pledge as fraudulent. This affecting a lot of other creators and patrons all over.
So, please double-check with your bank, and your creators that you are pledged to and see if the issue can be resolved.
I don't have more information than that, and I will be doing my own inquiry with Patreon on the matter as well.
I wish there was more that I could do, but for now, make sure you're alright first and foremost.

I made a new pledge for the first time in a while the other day, and I couldn't make it a beginning of the month pledge. It looked like the only way to pledge was to make a pledge that recycles every month on the same date as the original pledge. That's something we all campaigned against that, back in the day, so it's very sad to see it happen.
That was a feature that seemed to be optional, and I didn't want that either. Perhaps they made it mandatory now for all creators and that's why things got messed up? EDIT: for my page, it is still set up as 1st of the month billing. Other creators have the option to change to "subscription billing" model, but once they do, it is permanent.
