Pricing Update

While checking my page today, I’ve realized I need to adjust my pricing. There are three main reasons: rising platform fees, CNY appreciation, and increased workload.

On October 3rd, the current $4 early‑access tier will increase to $5. You can still support me for one more month at $4 before October 3rd. After that, early‑access will be $5 per month.

I haven’t checked in on Patreon very often over the past couple of years, so I wasn’t aware of what was happening. I’ve now noticed that platform fees have gone up quite a lot. On top of that, the CNY has been steadily appreciating lately. I’ve realized it’s time to adjust my pricing. What I actually receive from the current $4 tier is even less than what I got from $3 three years ago!

I know many of you have supported me for a long time, and I feel bad about raising the price. I’ve also noticed that the time I once spent creating three CC items now only allows me to finish one. This is not because I work slowly; instead, it requires lots of hand‑painted work and constant back‑and‑forth work across different creation software.

To use a baking analogy: when I first started out, I could only mix ingredients to make a simple cake. As my skills grew, I learned how to make those perfect display‑worthy cakes you see in shop windows — and that takes many more detailed steps, not just quick mixing.
