SUPER SATURDAY SCHEDULED RECORDINGS

Not a question so much as a fact - Did you know that the original animated G.I. JOE Movie was intended to have the character Duke be killed off, but due to backlash from the death of Optimus Prime in this movie they edited in a line at the end telling everyone that ‘Duke had come out of his coma’. On a similar note, when The Transformers The Movie was released in other countries, for some the opening credits were replaced with a narrated Star Wars style opening scroll. The narrator would then return at the end of the movie, telling viewers: “The battle is over. But the galaxy spanning adventures of The Transformers will continue. And the greatest Autobot of them all, Optimus Prime, will return.” Alternate Opening: https://youtu.be/L3_UEZTMa1c?is=IjO4ArlZORMwsuxj

TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (1986) (Greg & John) - Question what voices stand out for me it was Leonard Nimoy as Galvatron and Eric Idle as Wreck-Gar the Junkon chief there.

Transformers: I’m curious how does this movie hold on its own, a lot of people think they need the whole show because they feel lost, and would you compare it to the other Transformers movies. My personal favourite will always be Transformers One, it was what I always wanted for the Live Action movies, because I just don’t get why we had to follow humans for 7 movies.

Imagine if Pokemon had a movie where they killed off all the starter Pokemon in the first 15 minutes of the movie. I was a wreck after watching this alone in the theater. I had no idea what was going to happen and I never watched any of the newer Transformers shows afterwards.

This movie is the reason why 80's kids are so tough mentally lol....to kill off Optimus Prime after that heroic entrance made us 80's kids understand the pain of loss and how to deal with it lol.....do you remember the first movie to make you cry? - THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT REACTIONS!!

Transformers: Live Peter Cullen 💜 This is my first time watching Transformers the Movie and great to watch along with y'all. Is there a favorite mecha animated/anime series you grew up with?

First off, RIP the great Peter Cullen. Transformers might be the movie I have seen the most and I currently have tickets for the 40th Anniversary re-release. Being that the entire purpose of the movie was to retire the old wave of the toy line to usher in the new characters, do you think that hindered the story in anyway?
