HEATED RIVALRY Episodes 1 & 2 - WATCH ALONG!!

I am very late to this, and I'm so sorry. I got into the show sometime after it had already aired. I started watching reactions but ended up watching the newer ones as they came out. I saved all the links to the first ones, like yours, so I could go back later. I'm just now getting to do that and I'm finding out that the original reactions were the better ones. I really wish I had watched yours sooner than this. I love that you are noticing the pure film making of the series. Even from the beginning, I thought it was just very very well made. The fact that it's not just excellently acted makes this thing that much better. You pointing out all sorts of camera work and other production aspects is great. Too many people don't understand why this show grabs you, or at least not all the reasons. Jacob and team nailed literally every single possible aspect of making a great tv show or movie. Acting is necessary, but the show has elite levels at everything else too. It just LOOKS good. You getting that the sex scenes are actually important was crucial. My husband has started to finally get that point months later. He's gay too, so I wasn't quite prepared for him to be a bit of a prude. I do get it - those scenes are out there - but he simply doesn't see the story happening within them. Either way, you two have noticed so much more that very very few others have. Great great job.

Hi, I’m Tony longtime fan of your site. Coy is the best. But actually the reason I subscribed now through Patreon is to express huge anger and frustration with the commentary. I just saw on the TV show the vampire Lestat season three ep. There is a sensitive part of the storyline that involves incest. Roxy reacted to this, as it’s her right to do personally as if it was going on for real and frankly destroyed the whole commentary by constantly expressing hatred and negativity and frankly ruining the whole commentary. This is a much beloved series of books. This one in particular was written over 40 years ago by Anne Rice. The history of the stats character has been out there for anyone to Google. I condemn incest too of course and I don’t enjoy the plot but as a longtime fan of Anne rice is for decades well terrible plot point is an essential part of vampire stats character again established decades ago and these details can be googled. Now everyone is entitled to their reactions if she’s reacting to it as if it’s personal and real course, she feels how she feels but my frustration is it that those reactions have no place in a commentary she actually should broadcast her feelings online YouTube. if this feels too personalto her, she should quit the commentary. She should not watch the show any further cause this is a small but again essential part of the story.. Again, my contacts at the Steve books have been beloved all this time and has millions and millions and millions of devoted followers of and Rice‘s vampire series. Again, it is a work of fiction. I appreciate her feelings, but it has no place in the commentary. I realize I’m getting repetitive. Just as in a side, I’m actually in the mental health field and I have long ago studied interpretation, psychological interpretations of vampires and the vampire myth. One of the essential things of the mythology with any vampire story is a fascination and sort of maybe a vicarious enjoyment of these characters who abandoned morality, suicidal norms, do whatever they want with anyone they want whatever they want. For example, vampires have always had it up and downs in popularity. But for example, there was a huge upsurge of popularity in the 1980s There were a lot of seminal vampure films like the hunger, fright, night, near dark, lost boys and tons of others.. the reason for the surge of popularity largely had to do with the AIDS crisis. at the time we feared sex having sexexchange of fluids, etc. Anything that felt pleasurable was a death sentence fear. so on the screen, you see these vampires, living life without having to be scared. It was a communal vicarious enjoyment of seeing these characters who live like fiercely, even if amoral. I strongly believe that that is the reason that Andrew gained such fame. Her vampire stat book was published in 1985 in the middle of the AIDS. Point is it over the decades the vampire miss can represent different things to different generations over the 120 some years since the novel Dracula was published. Sorry for that expansive moment there my point is debt who in general has a lot of broken taboos lots of other things like core. All kinds of storylines can be offensive, immoral, and disgusting.. again this is not a supportive incest. It is support for a book beloved for decade so if Roxy can’t detach yourself, then I think she should leave. There’s no place to enjoy your commentary about TV shows when someone keeps making this personal negative comments and ruining the enjoyment of the series. Again, much respect to her, but this TV show is not something she should commenting on if the content is that offensive to her and if she can’t separate a work of fiction from reality.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched y'all watch this. It's so good. I laugh so hard at the end with the "and i'd really like to make out now if we could."

Seeing this reaction pop up was such a nice surprise! I actually just decided to check this out last night, was only going to watch 1 episode and then ended up bingeing all 5 till like 3 in the morning cause these two characters have me so hypnotised. Their intense chemistry is very fun to watch, and I am really invested in them. I really hope you guys end up reacting to the rest, cause your reactions have been so fun and relatable. I would be sad to miss you react to the other episodes.
