Podcast Launch

So first of all, thank all of yall so much for supporting me for so long, especially as I haven’t produced any spend the night shows in a while. I meant to do it more consistently, but I’ve dealt with some pretty intense personal problems this year and that’s kind of derailed everything. But I’m getting things back together and am planning to quit my day job and do comedy full time, and part of that, unfortunately, means starting a podcast. I know, I know, but I’m told there’s people who want to hear what I have to say about random things more often, and that I need something consistent and I can’t show you guys my standup shows like that without lots of work (like spend the night). I will still be producing spend the night shows (I have a huge one scheduled March 15th in Kansas City that I’m very excited to start promoting), but I’m also going to start doing a weekly solo podcast because, among other things, it makes me practice talking in a (hopefully) entertaining way.

I’ll be talking about current events, sports, pop culture, politics, random soap box rants, and maybe some about my personal life. I’d also like to read letters from fans like it’s Dear Abby. So if you want to, send me an email about something you’re dealing with and ask for my take on it, and I’ll try to read it on air and give my uneducated and poorly informed advice. WARNING: I’m gonna try to make my reaction to it funny and entertaining so only send me something like that if you’re fine with me making jokes about it.

I’m recording Sunday, will release Monday, and then I’ll try to keep doing that every week until I die I guess.

P.S. this is the first draft of my logo, hopefully will have something better by Sunday but “morning standup with Stacy cay” is what I’m gonna call it. Get it? Cuz a morning standup is usually a boring work meeting but I’m a standup comedian so it’s kind of a pun? That’s fine, it’s not that great but every podcast name is stupid. Don’t get mad at me
