What I'm Working On #016
Hey all! I'm back with a progress report on how I've been spending my modding time this week!
Flute
The flute mod is here! I spent some time this week finishing up all the tuning files and testing how it works in game, and I think this one might be one of my favorites yet. Now I feel excited to go back and add in some more duets- harp and flute? Oboe and harpsichord? Piano and literally every other instrument? I just need to find the right music for it!
Ballet
I'm so excited to share the animation progress with you! It's going to be a huge time sink, I can already tell, but honestly this has been fun to work on! A minute or two of music could take an hour at most, but a few seconds of animation can take me an hour by itself. I'm definitely getting faster as I'm going, and working on these kinds of animations is teaching me a LOT, but being self taught it's just gonna take a bit haha.
The video at the top of the post at is a continuation of the animation you saw last week in Blender. I haven't animated hands or facial expressions yet, but I think it's coming along. :). The plan is for the longer animations like this to be performable in the way that songs are for the music mods.
Also I want to make a tutu that I can be sure will be compatible with the animations and not clip too much, so I've started meshing etc. The Odile animation is going to need a tutu for sure! (Swan arms are so pretty!)
Walk Together
Love Day is coming up, y'all! And if you're like me and spend half your time in game planning your Sims' dating life, you want more couples activities. This week I started working on a mod which will allow your Sims to walk together.
And yes, it looks like Morty is being stalked! 馃槃 If I can get this working I do hope to have them be able to walk arm in arm, but am focused on getting routing working first.
Archery Update
The hunting update for Archery is underway! These animations are a bit more involved than the rifle ones because I have to animate the bow and animate the arrow path, and I ran into some problems remembering what I did with the bow rig last time get it working... but I am eager for this to be a possibility for archers as well as marksmen. 馃檪
Bugfixes
I spent some time this week addressing bugs for the Regency Romance mod and the Soulmates mod, and I hope to have an update out for Regency in the next day or so. There are going to be some changes to the script which is taking a bit of time to double check, but it is a top priority.

Super excited about the WIP on the hunting update. I am in the process of gathering all of the things to try my hand at a historical/off grid save file to play. I am a huge fan of you!!
I'm drooling, waiting for the ballet mod. I made a room already! :D I've used other ballet mods and posepacks but they all leave me feeling unfulfilled in watching my sim live the life I want. Thank you for creating everything I need to play with life!

Will you add a ballet barre to ballet mod? :3 mercuryfoam has one, but it hasn't updated for a looong time...
I'm hoping to add a barre to the mod! But I'm focusing on the standalone animations first :)

Hey! Yes - the practice animations are likely going to be the same for masculine and feminine sims, but I plan on adding a few performable variations traditionally performed by men, starting with the Albrecht variation from Giselle. :)
