Mod: Sidesaddle Override
Sul-sul! I'm back with another historical override which makes Sims aged teen and up who are marked as female in CAS ride sidesaddle.
A few notes/limitations: This mod is an override and will conflict with any other mods that edit the Animation State Machines or Locomotion builders related to horse riding. This mod replaces every animation except the mount, dismount, and obstacle animations, which will still be astride. Occasionally, Sims riding sidesaddle may switch from one side to the other when changing from walk to trot or otherwise.
Installation/Requirements: This mod requires the Horse Ranch EP to work. It can be installed directly in your mods folder just like any other tuning mod.

I love this sm ty for making it, I do wish there was an option to only ride like this if you have on a dress or skirt, or an option just for female sims would be great also
Any way in the future to make this a Like in the Likes and Dislikes category so you can swap sims' preferences based on if they like side saddle or not? That way you could use that as the marker instead of teen-adult female in case you still want forward-facing western riders? Or, I assume that might be really difficult... 馃槄 (Love the mod, by the way!)

I think this is one of the coolest mods I've ever seen. Question, does this mean that every sim will ride side saddle? I'd rather my male sims rode astride and the women side saddle. Is that possible?
hmm Simkatu did something like this for her animation overrides. I wonder if Jane could get some tips from her lol I'd soo love to see this!

I love this! Is it possible you could add an option to manually make some specific female sim or sims exempt while still using the mod for other sims, or would that not be easy to add? I don't know much about modding so I wouldn't know. I would love to use this in my worlds but I often have certain sims who I would rather not ride sidesaddle.
I'd love that too! I flip-flop between historical and modern gameplay so that would be awesome to have that option

I really love this mod! was just wondering if you could do an animation override for people who want their rider to be realistically sitting on the horse? sims always puts the rider farther back than they need to be! i would consider consulting TES on discord because alot of people there would love something like this and be willing to help you should you need it!
