Kill la Kill?
I think i want a palate cleanser after the sad stuff! After cowboy bebop and your lie I'll keep Jojo going (ofc) and finish the Rebuilds of EVA but was curious how you felt about a Kill la Kill watch along? I'm open to other stuff ofc.

Space Dandy is a incredible comedy from the creator of cowboy bebop. It is connected but a whole different animal. 26 episodes with 20 guest directors creating a unique and beautiful experience.

I'd be a huge advocate for KLK too. I'd also consider Gunbuster & Diebuster just because you liked TTGL so much and Diebuster is essentially a spiritual prequel to that (same direct and very similar themes). But KLK is probably gonna have broader appeal.
Kill La Kill is crazy and over the top and fun and has one of my favorite character themes (Blumenkranz) and it's one of the rare anime that also has a decent dub. BUT I will warn you: it is VERY suggestive as the main character's outfit becomes very revealing during fights. So keep that in mind when you make your decision. Another anime that I'd recommend from the same studio if you choose to pass on KLK that's really fun and good without any fan service is Little Witch Academia.
Its a fun show but its pretty perverted at times. Have you tried Dungeon Meshi?
Yes! Kill La Kill is an all time favourite for me, great pallet cleanser and super fun show.
I still hope you circle back to the Fate Stay/Night anime, it will make more of Zero make sense. There is also a really good movie series in the fate universe called kara no kyoukai (Its 9 movies long)
After Kill La Kill, definitely get on that JJK Grind, actually has such a great soundtrack, especially S3
I'm sure Kill la Kill will be a good palette cleanser. When you're ready for something a bit more psychological again I would highly reccomend Revolutionary Girl Utena, an all time classic with a really elegant, lovely OST
KLK has a phenomenal soundtrack too. An excellent mix of Rock, Electronic and Orchestral so I believe you’ll fave a fun ride from the music as well

Kill La Kill is fantastic, but I might also suggest checking out FLCL(or Fooly Cooly). FLCL was made directly after Evangelion by Gainax and is cited as an intentionally tonal opposite. It's a manic and silly show, and often does not make sense to first time viewers, but it's made with love and an incredible energy that many creators have attempted to emulate afterwards. It's one of my all time greats (but I acknowledge it isn't for everyone).
Second on FLCL. Short burst (6 eps) Great musics. Doesn't get too sad. I'd just add on Gunbuster and Diebuster (also short burst 6sps each) for the music.

It's stupid fun but also really well written
Oh for sure ! Kill la Kill is one of my fav anime among with Way too many stuff, sure, but still ! It's very "goofy" but also oozes like Ideas And, is far from "just being goofy" That'd be a ride for sure !

Watch Danmachi! Don't be thrown off by the title, which is mostly there as a hook, there's a intricately crafted world underneath
