Your Lie in April 1x1 - 1x2
I won't write much here but the back half of this is full of about 15 minutes of real introspection and reflection on my previous life. I hope you find it interesting, this will definitely be a show I finish. Really fascinating look at the lens of a musicians life when stuck and the internal and external conflict that arises when you meet someone who is essentially the opposite of you or your foil. Happened all the time during my previous career and I hope you enjoy the reflections I provided.

I hope you will continue this show, its been so long since i watched this... ❤️
One of my absolute favorites!
I really loved your comments and perspective from this show. This is the anime that got me into the anime scene in general since I had a background in musical performance already in high school. Seeing your perspective from someone more professionally involved is really cool, and I can already tell it'll be a really fun journey watching it with you!
I grew up watching this anime in middle school, and it definitely sparked my love in classical music fully. I grew up playing violin, and while I did have an emotional connection to music before this show, this was the show that kind of reignited that spark for me in a time of my life where I was slipping away from arts and whatnot (thanks american schooling). It also helps that the choice of pieces for this show are absolutely incredible (except for a very specific arrangement towards the end of the show that I have very strong, choice words about). Opening with Moonlight and Kreutzer hooks you, and it just keeps getting better from there. All that being said, it's strange watching this in JP because I literally grew up for the most part watching it in the (admittedly pretty damn good) English dub. Incredibly excited you took this one up, it's quite the fun and slightly cheesy journey, but it's beutiful nonetheless!
Totally the anime ive been waiting for you to start. The details, even down to the animation matching what's played exactly and the main character regaining a lost passion for classical music? Love it and enjoy the rest of the show!
Thank you for this! I've been wanting to see your reaction to YLIA. I love both the classical music that is featured, and also the original soundtrack is one of my favorites. It was fun watching you "rock out" to Kaori's playing in the second episode. :-)
i feel like you'll really like this anime and end up drawing a lot of meaning from it. It's one of my favorites
This show stopped me from quitting the violin in high school. Finally burned out trying to be like Kosei with competitions and rehearsals, watched this show when it was airing, then vowed to be like Kaori. Needless to say, all music faculty thought I was a pain in the ass after (can't blame them with hindsight 20/20). Last thing I ever played was a piece from this show too. Glad you're watching it!
Woah ♥️ what a story.
For a second I thought this was "March Comes in Like a Lion"; I always confuse the two because of the months 😁. The emotional depth of it is something I believe would elicit a similar response from you; what I would call a modern classic, and suggest to keep an eye on.
....Why is it raining all of a sudden?
Classic musician reacting to "THE" music themed anime, it just cant get better that this
