Jojo's humour and vibe is really unique. The combination of overdramatization and physical comedy can come across as cringe to a lot of people so its cool that you guys enjoy it this much!

I believe when Dio says companion he means ally, not lover. He was letting her choose to be either undead or dead.

I know you guys like uploading seasons or parts of your reactions to YouTube, so this seems like a good time to say this: Jojo's episode ED's use contemporary music, and the music industry has an unfortunately strong hold on the copyright. I would recommend being careful with the YouTube uploads.

Jojo can be weirdly funny in its earnestness. I totally get it 😂

Jojo goes "RIP brother" while Speedwagon goes "RIP bozo"

JoJo is for sure one of the funniest shows on the planet, in a weirdly serious way

Glad y’all are enjoying JoJo’s, this show definitely has its own vibe! The ending song is 'Roundabout' by Yes , it’s a western song from the 1970s. On top of the many musical references in the show, lots of the endings are older pre-existing western songs that you may already know - love that author is such a fan of western music!

Can't wait for you guys to find out what "the legacy of your bloodline" in the opening is truly talking about.

Jojo anime itself is not that old, but anime from the 1980s - 1990s did look like this, but it's more accurate in Jojo's case to say it's just staying faithful to the manga's art direction which is from the 1980s. And yeah, generally manga also looked like this back then. It wasn't until the late 1990s that anime switched to the "moe" art direction, bigger eyes, crazier hair styles, and generally focusing more on looking cute and soft. Think Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Madoka Magica. And yeah, those are all magical girl manga/anime, but moe invaded pretty much everything from the late 1990s to the late 2000s, only really disappearing in the mid 2010s, and ever since anime has looked like it does now, except that some shows get released now that have insane levels of production quality.

I can't believe I just notice the IMMENSE spoiler in the opening after all these years. ☠️

More of an easter egg than a spoiler. The intros are all full of little hints. I wouldn't tell anyone not to watch them once the major stuff has happened though.(which obviously has for these ones)
