It’s quite impressive to have gotten through the full series still saying Sakooota, particularly given how often his name is spoken.
just wanted to say that in the source material (both manga and light novel) Sakuta and Mai have already kissed at this point of the story (they kissed in the Futaba arc, would have been in ep 8), its just the anime adaptation that makes you think that they havent had their first kiss yet
The first movie (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl) changed all my perspective about the first season. I will just say that.
Frieren 2nd season spoiler alert: Kaede making goals to make Sakuta feel better after little-Kaede is gone reminds me of Hero of the South, who went to fight Schlacht and 7 sages knowing that he would die, because he knew that it is for a better future. She knew that one day past memories will be back, but instead of waiting for that day to appear, she started coming out of her comfort zone, fighting her fears, so when she's gone, Sakuta will feel better.
I loved the reactions!!! This season was really good!!! Next, for the watch order, it's Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl Movie > Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out Movie > Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid Movie. THEN after those 3 movies, it's season 2
1:50 “it would be like Kaede-chan died….” Yep. I always interpret this as a “character death”. They lived together & became really close over the span of 2 years, so it’s a bittersweet thing of getting 1 sister back but then losing the other - I don’t even know how I’d process that in his shoes. 🤕
Agree, Kaede literally feels like a different person so its like he lost one sister for the sake of the other. And NONE of his family understands that. Mai would understand but he doesnt feel like he can lean on her for support when shes working. She cant just call in like a normal job. Shows like Oshi no Ko have taught me that if they had to cancel a shoot because her bf had a personl emergency it would probably foster resentment in the staff and harm the production. And the "atmosphere" of work responsibility might lead them to think the shoot was more important

This episode broke me when I was watching it on release and still breaks me to this day, very few anime manage to hit me as hard as this one
