Jerusalem artichoke, potato and thyme soup...artichokes local, thyme and potatoes from the gardens...

Ive never given them a go before, I love artichokes sin the thistle looking fuckers but these guys I had never tried, only heard a neighbour mention them a few years ago when he tried growing them out here...

Holy smokes how delicious...vegetable stock cooked slow and strong on the fire, then the soup the following nights also cooked on the fireplace...I love the very end of autumn when it really starts to get cold and the day get darker and the house songs get deeper and the meals get warmer....
