Living off the land!!!
Went for a walk, and the bunyas had fruited so there was dinner sorted for the next night or two, bunya nut gnocchi...then ventured to the farm and the olives were in fruit...now been soaking and soon to brine! Plus the leaves, which have such medicinal value...
Toby hunted, we roasted on the fire with potatoes, home grown garlic from last season and some stored macadamias from local commune...
Pulled potatoes from the gardens, got a great haul from only the smallest space...actually incredible to have so many potatoes growing everywhere here...time to dig a root cellar!!
Planted some cabbage seedlings in the potatoes place, along with some other additions from the local nursery such as echinacea, thyme, purple broccoli and nasturtium..
along with transplanting avo trees, ashwaganda root balls after a recent harvest, turmeric and tamarillo's seeds from the fruits currently being enjoyed and eaten from the gardens..
Continuously learning, and right now about to level up big time into the next level of self sufficiency by growing all your own fruit and vegetables, getting chock ourselves and goats for milking, truly considering horse and cart for transport too...
