Edit: There is a known bug associated with the 'brifear' or 'bri_fear' variable, which may trigger during one scene. In order to fix it, you can replay the game from the end of Chapter Three.
Hey friends, at the links above you'll find the newest installment of Friends in Need, featuring a handful of bug-fixes and improvements over the previously released Beta.
There's currently a bug that may cause some save files to crash upon loading. This is due to a conflict between the version of Ren'py used to make this version, and the version of Ren'py used to create the save file. I've been unable to come up with a solution at this time, besides restarting the game from the beginning. But, I've only found it to be an issue with a two of my oldest save files, so it may not affect you at all.

Hi! Friends in Need is supported on my SubscribeStar and Boosty platforms. Friends Indeed has a similar story, but with content altered to comply with Patreon’s terms of service.

I am not sure what the deal is, but my game ends at the end of part 1. Part two never starts. What am I doing wrong?
That's very strange.. You don't get the scene where MC wakes up with the bruise on his face? Is it possible you have an old copy of the game in your downloads folder, and you're inadvertently extracting files to that/opening it by accident?
What a fantastic update. Mason's scenes were amazing and even though it's kind of effed up to have them roleplay as a girl it was nice that MC could do that and still be otherwise sweet to them. Nikki is always amazing. Don't want to post spoilers but her diner scene when she was genuinly hurt that she thought MC was joking about them was so sad. Pepper is more interesting then ever. Especially her dark path. She's so matter of fact about the way the world works it was so unique to what normally happens in that scenario (i.e viola). Can't wait for more!

Thanks so much! It broke my heart to have to move some Gabby content from this update to the next one, but Gabby fans will definitely have some stuff to look forward to in the next few updates.

No, sorry! This is only bug-fixes and such for the previous Beta. Viola’s event, Ashe’s date, and stuff with Gabby and Madison has all been moved to the next update, which should be out in early-mid May.
Is there a mobile version of this? I feel like I downloaded one before, but could very well be crazy.
Like a lot of AVNs, people are always pirating and modding it, so it’s definitely possible you came across a mobile version somewhere. I only package basic PC and Mac versions, and let the modders have it from there. But, a lot of people who use Android can play it via the JoiPlay app. And there are usually web versions that make it into pirate sites after a couple weeks. 🤔
