Dev Update! 9/1/26

Hey, folks! Hope you’re all doing well this week! Let’s get two things out of the way, right here at the top.

First, thanks to everyone for reaching out with well-wishes and words of concern when I was in the midst of a personal crisis last week. I won’t get into the details, as things still kind of.. Suck. But time will do its thing, and the sucky things will suck less in a week, a month, a year.

Second, I just put out a little demo for Ch16, available to $15+ supporters. There’s no real ero content in this one (unless you like Alex’s sweaty biceps, and.. Some might!) but it’s got 150~ images, and a few fun little scenes.

Having added some content to Ch16 which I hadn’t previously planned to have, I was a little worried that this chapter might grow a bit unwieldy. But honestly, I’m moving through it at a decent little clip. I’ve learned better than to give ETAs on release dates when I’m this far out, but so far I feel like the wind’s at my back.

While I was having my little depression session last week, I finally watched some videos about animating in Daz Studio and.. It’s easier than I thought? I’d tried before and met with crippling failure, but once I figured out how the keyframe system and timelines actually worked, it was all pretty straightforward. So, I’ve been showing off some little animations on Discord and behind the paywall. I’m still not really good at animating, with things like my timing needing work, but I can make stuff that doesn’t look embarrassing. I’ll upload some spicy animations for Wanton Weekends on Saturday, so everyone can see what I’ve been doing.

Besides that, there’s not a lot to report. I’ve still got to finish writing Ch16, as the ending is unfinished and some of the scenes are still in rough draft form. Then there’s the rendering. Fortunately I’ve got a nice little chunk of the middle completed, where the player goes to meet Kat, the amorous librarian. So that makes my life a bit less complicated.
