Dev Update! 8/3/26
Hey, folks! Hope you’re all well this week!
I’ve been in a bit of a cooldown mode since the Ch15 Beta dropped. Last week I put out a call for people to submit comments to appear onscreen for a section of Ch15, and while waiting for those to come in, I began working on Ch16. I’m currently 85~ images into it, which puts me into the third scene. But, it’s about time I pivot back to polishing up Ch15, ahead of the $5 release on Friday.
Regarding Ch15, I collected some good comments from folks on the Close Friends tier, and I think I’ll be doing a little content expansion in the not-so-distant future. I’ll keep mum for now, in the interest of under-promising and over-delivering.
Ch16 is going well, at this early stage. After spending the last update almost entirely in one location, with one character, it’s been nice to get back into the wider world. I’d really intended for this update to be pretty contained, with only two major scenes.. Buuut, I got some ideas to expand things, to loop in more of the cast and resolve some lingering plot threads. Still, I think this update will come in on the smaller side, and I’m aiming for <1000 renders.
Finally, I was chatting with the folks over on Discord about possible merchandise, and floated the idea of acrylic ‘standee’ figures and body pillows. As always, when these things come up I’m never entirely sure I’m not just being trolled when people say they’d buy them.. But, I’d be happy to be proven wrong! Still, I’ll be holding off anything related to that until next year. For now my main priority is just getting through the next two chapters, and then working on the Steam release.

I can't wait. Question: Have you considered putting the game on Steam?
It's part of the plan, for sure. Unfortunately Steam can be a little weird about characters with small chests or petite builds. So, I have to give some consideration about how I want to proceed there.
Full harem ending please its to hard to pick between all the magnificent female characters you made lol
Hah! I don't think I can do a full harem, immediately. But I have said I'd like to basically add an unlockable ending, once you play one "true" ending, where all the girls just become super cool with being in a harem. A little fun DLC for the harem lovers.
Man look at these images the improvement in details and quality are so good if we compare it from the early time period of the game... Neon my man It really came a long way ha.. this shows how much effort and dedication you have put into this... That's why this is the best game and You r the best creator.. Keep up the good work bro 💜🫶
Thank you! I'm always trying to get better, so that means a lot. Maybe one day I'll finally get some decent animations going. :D

Can we get some Viola soon? She is by far the best character :)
I really want to devote some time to Viola's next scene, so I don't just want to wedge her in. But I'll try to get her in ASAP. I may be able to work her into Ch16 or 17.
I've been looking forward to the Steam release! That said, I suppose a Steam release of the Friends in Need version is still unlikely, given Steam's policies, right? That version really gave me a lot to think about while I was playing it.
