Dev Update! 4/8/26

Hey, folks! Hope you’re all doing well this week! Just a quick FYI, as of now the alpha for Ch14 is live, and contains the more-or-less final content. Over the last month I added 580 images for Gabby’s scenes, making Ch14 the largest I’ve done so far (and hopefully ever again.) What remains is to do a little finishing work: smoothing out some weird scene-to-scene transitions by tweaking dialogue, bug-fixes, adjusting scrolling images, etc.

With that done, I’m going to be working on the next update. I know I’d said the plan was to do content around Kat and Pepper next, buuuut I’m going to shift gears and do something short and fun before then: a photoshoot update! One location, two characters, a sexy costume.. And maybe a little more? The plan is to get the whole thing rendered and ready for release before month’s end, and then I’ll get back into the previously planned content.

My reason for this is basically two-fold.

• I’m pretty tired and burnt-out after Ch14’s release. Like I said, it’s the largest one I’ve done, and I had to do it while I was re-coding Season 1, figuring out weird stuff like migrating save files, doing these blog posts, doing my real-life stuff, etc. It was kinda rough! So, I want to do something easy to get a little of my mojo back.

• If people like this style of photoshoot mini-update, I could do more in the future. This one utilizes Cutiedoll, but the main characters definitely have room to appear for smaller, self-contained installments. This is part of my mission to do more content this year, so there’s a little appetizer in between main courses.

My hope is that this year I can balance doing larger, more all-encompassing updates, with smaller, more focused ones. We’ll see if I can pull it off, and if people like the new approach. At present, my plans more or less look like this:

• Ch14. We’re here.

• Ch15. Small photoshoot update with Cutiedoll.

• Ch16. Medium-sized update with Kat the librarian, and plot-advancement stuff with Pepper, Risa, and Alex. A small bridge scene in between, with a few potential love interests and Cassie.

• Ch17. Brittani’s audition for the movie, featuring Ashe and Viola. I might expand this update to include dinner with the Barron family, but I need to put more thought into what that looks like.

• Ch18. Currently planning to have Carolina’s date here, but I’m still working out what else I might include, if someone isn’t on her romance path.

Finally, here’s the release schedule for Ch14:

• Alpha. Available now for $15+ supporters.

• Beta. Available 4/15 for $5+ supporters.

• Final. Available 4/19 for $2+ supporters.

• Public release. Available 4/22.
