Dev Update! 12/16/25
Hey, folks! Hope you're all doing well this week! Sorry to be a day late -- this does tend to happen as release day draws nearer..
Speaking of release days, the full Season One is now available to all paid supporters, and will be available to the public on 12/19. There's a little new content, but the most important reason to play it is that you'll need to complete the game with this version, in order to export your saved files to Season Two. Otherwise you'll just get kind of a generic, default variable experience. I may eventually build in a system for Season Two where you can just set your relationship to various characters via a little recap mechanic.. But, it won't be in the upcoming version. You've been warned!
Aside from dealing with the (fewer than expected) bug reports, I've really just been rendering, and editing the script for the upcoming chapter. I'm trying to get the alpha build out by Christmas Day, and as per usual, I expect to be working right up until the deadline. Until then, let the attached images be a little tease as to what you can expect.
Since I don't have much to say about the upcoming chapter, I thought I'd share something a little different this week.
Though it's never actually mentioned in-game, Nicki hails from the state of Alabama -- whose state bird is the Northern Flicker. Since I enjoy making custom clothes for the characters, I got to thinking about what kind of goofy t-shirt I could make for her, and I landed on what you see above. For some reason I just imagine Nicki trying to explain this weird, region-specific meme to Guy, about a fat bird whose name looks rather dirty if it's written in all-caps with the letters mashed together.
That led me to draw the design you see above -- and I thought you might enjoy seeing a timelapse of the actual drawing process here as well as a hi-res version of Nicki wearing it here.

HI new to site and your game. Just stumbled across it and couldn't stop playing. Great job on the game Neon Ghost studio. Can't wait for updates and hope the game has many more chapters in it, with all the female characters and their issues. Even after he stops, Lucien Rob, Vaughn there are several other characters that can get into trouble and need Mc to help. I do have one question I didn't see it in the tags but is this also going to be a game where we have a Harem route. You made me love so many of the female characters (even ones I thought I would hate at first( like Brittani) that picking just one seems cruel lol. Once again thanks for your time and making an amazing game.

Hey Neon it’s been awhile and wanted to ask will any of Nicki’s brothers or family show up in the game?
Hey! I won’t entirely rule it out. I think it’d be interesting, but I’m just not sure if it’d fit smoothly into the larger narrative. As we enter Season 2, there will be a big focus on trying to move the broader plots forward, with lots of big, important things happening. Having them show up and crash at her apartment, flustering Guy, might make for a fun aside, though.
Are you planning on adding music to the game?
Eventually. But, it has some logistical hurdles. Many musical tracks which grant a perpetual license have restrictions that limit their use in lewd works. Besides that, I just want to make sure I take my time and really try to use the music intelligently, rather than have a few looping tracks to choose from. Given that Season 1 has roughly five novels worth of words in it, that's a *lot* of content to create a decent soundtrack for, while still trying to develop new content.
One question do you plan make this game ah harem tipe or just various routes of relationships? Because one of the girls leave it really clear that more than one girl will not work. P.S. Good work i really like the game
It won’t be a full harem, but there will be certain pairings that might work together. Like, Risa’s not really the jealous type, so she doesn’t care if you’re with other girls. Meanwhile someone like Ashe or Carolina who are a little more traditional, probably won’t accept a non-traditional relationship quite as easily. And of course you could probably just have a bunch of friends with benefits, if you didn’t want to fully commit to one love interests or another.
Don't compromise yourself for artificial deadlines. This is one of the best stories/games on the market. Merry Christmas! Team Ash, FTW. P.S. Yo baby! You ever had your candy cane licked by a fat guy in an overcoat?
Fun Fact: there’s a Clerks Holiday Special comic published wayyyy back in 1998, which has a candy-cane related mishap. It’s part of my pile of Christmas media that I make sure to indulge in every holiday season. :D
