Dev Update! 10/13/25
Hey, friends! Hope all's well with you and yours this week!
At present, the next chapter stands at over 1100 renders. I've wrapped up Alex's scene that I was working on, and now I'm doing some small scenes with Cassie. After that, it's onto the Gabby material that will comprise the end of the chapter.
Of course, I still need to get the last two chapters of Season One in order, so that remains in my periphery. I've been working on the code with my laptop, while my main PC runs renders. Maximum efficiency or burning the candle at both ends? You decide!
Unfortunately, there's just not a lot of interesting stuff to talk about right now. I've just gotta do what I've been doing, and keep chugging on the rendering front. If I can get these Cassie scenes and the Season 1 stuff done by the end of the week, that'll put me in a good position to burn through the Gabby renders over the rest of the month. If I finish this week's work ahead of time? Even better!

The only thing i REeeaaallly hate about Cassie is her hair style with that single loose strand of hair, its really grating on my Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, i wish i can take a scissor and snip it off 🤭 On a more serious note though, this game is awesome, having the options to go down a hero or dark personality path and then different levels of relationships with each LI, and then there's the different ways in which the characters react when theres 2 or more of them in a scene based on your prev actions with them, dude...the complexity of it should not be understated. I can't express enough how much i appreciate your work Neon.
Thank you! Always nice to hear! As for Cassie’s hair, that model *does* give me the option to tuck both strands behind her ears. So if I remember to do it in the chapter-after-next, just know that it was done with your mental health in mind. 😁 Have a great day!
Hy Neon again as always really love your work, but I wanna ask why you change the starting scene with Nicki specially the dark theme one. Old one was really good man
Hey! If you're referring to the total remake of Chapter 1, it basically came down to a few things. The first is that I just think my writing wasn't very good. The second is that, as I was commissioning someone to do the art for the original chapter, I had a limited number of images available to me. That meant there were scenes where I'd have liked to have one or two more things happen, but the artist I'd hired just couldn't do it, as he had other commitments. Basically, I saw it as a good proof-of-concept, but flawed by its limitations. As far as 'dark' content, everything I put out on Patreon, including Friends Indeed, is built to comply with Patreon's terms of service. I have other platforms where I distribute some more daring material, because those platforms have looser TOS. Unfortunately that's all I can say about it.
