Dev Update! 7/21/25
Hey, folks! Hope you're all doing well this week. Real life's been kicking my ass this week, as I've been forced to address some rotten fence posts that surround my house. I spent several hours going to town with a shovel, sledgehammer, and bigass wrecking bar, and only did nominal damage. Good stress relief, though.. Then I turned to YouTube and found a tutorial on using a big jack and a length of chain to yank the concrete out of the ground, and hot damn. That's a heck of a trick. This has precisely nothing to do with why you come here, but hey, I like filling you folks in on my foolish misadventures.
Moving on! Work on the next chapter continues, and I'm working towards getting a new demo build for Chapter 11 ready by month's end. As usual, it'll probably come down to the wire. This has left me with limited time to futz with the rest of Season One that I still need to integrate. This is further complicated by the fact I need to address a few scenes with some artistic goofs, some of which will require some re-rendering. But, they should be easy enough fixes.
There's a bit with Viola where her hair is clipping through her face. It doesn't look terrible, but it looks bad enough to me that I want to address it.
There's been a small (good-natured) debate on Discord over what I should actually call the next chapter. I'd been calling it Chapter 11, but now it'd really be something else, since I renumbered the previous chapters. But some folks said it should really be Season 2, Chapter 1. I'd been mulling it over a bit, but then the answer came to me while I was watching anime.
For this show, Crunchyroll carried over the episodic numbering from the last episode of season one to the first episode of season two, and.. I dig it! If it's good enough for My Dress Up Darling, it's good enough for me!
Alright, that's enough rambling from me. Hope you all have a great week! May your fences never rot, and your shojo anime always bring you the answers to life's hard questions. As always, take care of yourselves -- and thank you for your support!

Hi there hope u are well amazing work on the game ben following and am looking forward to buying your game
Thanks for the support! Very kind of you.
2 questions: 1) Do you plan on bringing characters from the prologue into the main story/cast? (*cough* Corner Store *cough*) 2) What is the release order of the rest revised season one and episode 11? Will it require a save transfer for it now being S2?
1) Callie and Jun will definitely continue to show up, and we’ll get some more spicy scenes with Jun very soon. 2) I’ve been putting out the Chapter 11 stuff as basically a self-contained demo, so the next one of those will hit before the end of the month, irrespective of progress on the rest of Season 1. My goal is to get the rest of Season 1 out ASAP. Regarding the subject of save transfers, I’m looking into that. The game is getting pretty large, even with the images being compressed. So, it’d be ideal if I could allow people to basically start Season 2 as a new game, and import their saves. The difficulty is that, with how many characters there are and how many potential paths and variables there are, I basically need to set up persistent variables for each of those characters, which would convey the important info to the save file. So, I’m looking at how to best do that, what’s really important to make sure is carried over, etc.
Mc stays black eye and can’t defend himself
Nah, in the upcoming chapter we jump ahead in the story by a few weeks, and the black eye goes away. We also get to see him training with Alex, to become better equipped to deal with threats. 🤓
Hey Neon thanks for the update and try not kill yourself with your work. Also I was wondering how much money does Guy have. Is he Multi Millionaire or a Billionaire???
First, thanks for reminding me to slow down and not work myself into an early grave. I sometimes struggle to remember that. 😅 As for Guy’s wealth, I’ve intentionally kept it a little nebulous. But, I imagine he cashed out his Kobalt Koin, paid his taxes, etc. he wound up with something like 75 million. He’s very, very rich, but it’s not infinite.
