Dev Update! 2/10/25
Hey, hey folks! Hope your week's off to a great start.
I fell a little short of my goal of having 210 renders for Chapter 1, and currently have 187 complete. That number can always shift a little during the process of plugging them into the script, with certain images getting tossed because I realize they're not needed. But, that's where the raw number stands at the moment.
I'm still having a lot of fun with this whole process of redoing Chapter 1, and I really think the whole game will ultimately benefit from it. Gone is the awkward exposition dump that basically catapulted us into the meat of the story. Now we really get to spend some time with our hard-luck hero, before his life changed forever. Not too much, mind you.. But, enough that it helps us to appreciate how much his life changes in an instant.
So, big thanks to everyone for indulging me while I tidy things up. Hopefully, you'll all find it well worth it.
Besides the Chapter 1 remake, I don't have too much to talk about, today. But, this weekend you can look forward to a long-delayed surprise, just in time for Valentine's Day.

The entire game isn't being redone. Just the first chapter. The first chapter was pretty much a demo for the rest of the game and the quality of it has had the effect of discouraging people new to the game from continuing the story. Neon has explained this before.

Hey! Sorry, I missed this question. As New Tricks explained, the original chapter was basically a demo, and I've just learned a *lot* since then. So, in order to put my best foot forward, I wanted to make sure people's first experience with the game is as good as it can be.
I love the game but why are you doing a remake before the game is finished?
Hey, sorry I missed this question earlier! I've explained above. I know the game is near and dear to many people, and I'll make sure that first chapter is preserved as kind of a 'legacy' bonus.
