Dev Update! 2/2/25

Hey, hey folks! Hope you're all well this week!

At present I'm about 3000 lines into the script for the new and improved Chapter 1, with 70~ renders complete. So far, so good! I'm going to spend this month focusing the lion's share of my time and attention on rendering the script that I currently have, but I'm going to try to make time to write, too.

In case you missed it -- I dropped a teaser demo over the weekend for the Close Friend tier, featuring the opening scenes of Chapter 11. It's a modest little 130+ images, but it'll at least show you how our lovable hero escapes that little cliffhanger I left him in. This is update is something I'd been quietly writing during my little vacation in December, before rendering it over the month of January. You might wonder: Neon wtf, why weren't you working on Chapter 1 with that time?! Fair question! To that I say:

• I was! I mostly just did outlines, but I was still doing stuff for the reboot.

• I wanted to maintain my excitement for where the story's going.

• I like to make sure that my highest tier of supporters get something that shows my appreciation for said support.

I also put out a little Wanton Weekends photoset yesterday, featuring Nicki and a certain familiar orc. I'll definitely have to do more with this pairing, because they're just too much fun.

 That's all I've really got for you, today! Hoping to have at least tripled my render count by this time next week, but we'll see. Either way, I'll make sure to keep you folks in the loop.
