Dev Update! 8/19/24

Hey, friends! Hope you're all well this week!

For a quick state-of-things update: I posted a new Wanton Weekends post today (late, due to technical difficulties while I was at my day job) and it features some of the waitresses from Chesty Cheetahs, and a little story tease for the future. Regarding Chapter 10, at the moment I'm over 500 renders for the installment. Remember when I thought this update would be done in 600 images? Hahhhhh..

*gunshot sound *

I'm balancing my workload between rendering and writing at the moment, with most of my attention being on the three new scenes I added, since they're all pretty brief and simple. You can see a bit of one up above. Sometimes a man just wants to have pizza in peace.. But, with fame comes a certain number of random public admirers.

One important thing I accomplished this week, was building a decent Chesty Cheetahs set. I wanted something that said, "Hooters but worse," and began experimenting. I initially made a neon sign, using a 'billboard' image I made, and setting it as an emissive light object.

But, I got some notes on the neon sign, and took another crack at it, while still employing the same principles I did the first with. Then, I built up an exterior, with some girls on the front of the building that are meant to be giant printed cut-outs, illuminated from the back.

I was pretty happy with it! Buuut, after getting some notes from you lovely folks, I decided to do another pass, and wound up here.

Much better! A little more decoration, a little more texture.. I dig it. We'll see this location a few times, so I might as well get it as right as I can, on the first go.

Finally, regarding the release of Chapter 10.. I'm currently working on getting enough to build a version that could serve as Chapter 10: Part One. But, I don't know if I actually want to release it like that or not. It'd be 500+ images, and include one relatively brief ero scene with Mason. But, every path would basically end shortly after transitioning into a new scene. Kind of a series of cliffhangers.. I don't hate it. I really don't. But, I'm just not sure if I want to do two small releases like that, or one big one. So, I'll continue to moan and groan about it, while I try to decide.

I'll make up my mind within the next few days, following a bit more hemming and hawing. But, until then: take care of yourselves, and thank you for your support!
