"Look what I found!" Sandbar Discoveries
I've been finding some really great sculpting references down at the sandbar by the Mississippi recently.
Yesterday I found parts of a sturgeon and they are so otherworldly I can't help but think tyranids and H. R. Giger!
Soon I'll post all the gar jaws I've been finding, those things are right out of the oceans of Fenris.
Amazing references for teeth and any giant sea monster.

The 7th pic is disturbing, interesting and stunning at the same time! The scales are sick
I know it's absolutely sick! Really gnarly looking textures. This sandbar bakes in the sun all day and the sand washing over the bones really cleans them well so they're all surprisingly clean. I'll still go over them with soap and water but yeah, absolutely heebie-jeebies on that particular piece 😄
