Another Journey Begins: Canada and Miniwargaming Dave's Bunker
I couldn't be more excited to have this opportunity to visit the powerful and charismatic Dave! I'll be spending two nights at his bunker and returning Wednesday.
The purpose is to film an interview about Valbjorn! I hope you're as excited as I am, but somehow I doubt it 🤣.
I can only guess at the questions he'll be asking me, but I am fully prepared to divulge any part of my past and upbringing if it helps reveal my path that has brought me to this moment in time. The nerves have not set in yet!
Of course it is focused on an interview but I look forward to building a friendship as well. This has me excited about more trips in the future, possibly to visit some of you! I can see myself traveling to teach or visit friends around the globe that I've made through this platform and through the hobby. It's possible and I won't stop until it's a reality.
I'm all in!
As we approach 150 patrons I become closer and closer to my ultimate dream of becoming a full time artist and teacher. I cannot express how much your support means to me and I hope what I continue to offer to you will keep you around for the journey.
Attached are also some progress shots of my Wolf Guard. I'm very pleased with how the belt is turning out, very Conan-like and I love that. I'm a big fan of classic fantasy and anytime I can creep that style into space wolves I usually jump at it.
The sword is made from a 1mm brass rod that I've filed down flat on each side and skinned with Tamiya quick type. The blade is 23mm long.
The plan is to inset a gem into the cross guard that will power the blade with the spirit of Fenris. I will hopefully be able to paint a cold aura that bleeds off the blade and chills the ground underneath and the side of his armor. Ambitious I know but it's the plan for now.
Cheers everyone!
