Germany '26 Trip Photos and Words 💓

I am returned from my workshops and visit to Germany with a full heart.

I want to say right off just how welcome and at home I felt while in the hands of my host and friend, Roman Lappat, his family, all the students and new friends I've made while visiting.

Thank you all so much for your hard work, hospitality and kindness.

To my students: You all made fantastic progress and produced great results in the short time we had. I am very much looking forward to seeing your work as you progress through your journeys using the techniques we learned in the workshop. Keep exploring!

One of the highlights of the trip was being able to sleep on a pull out couch located in Roman's studio. This cut down on commute time and allowed me to sleep in and wake up in the studio I would be teaching in over two weekends. The hobby vibes pouring out of this space were palpable. Just being in the room makes you want to sit down and create. Roman has done a wonderful job setting up a creative space that encourages learning and exploration. I would happily return in a heartbeat just to sit down and hobby for a straight week in his studio.

In the short time I spent with Roman I felt like we fell into the rhythm of old buddies. Thank you Roman for an unforgettable experience.

If you're able, I highly recommend a visit to his studio for one of his workshops. It's truly magical.

Another highlight of my trip was meeting up with Lukas (chewie_painting) in Munich for a lovely tour and a very chill evening of hobby at his place. He showed me the highlights of Munich but more importantly shared with me his time and energy to imprint a memorable experience in a new place I won't forget. Thank you Lukas.

The photos above are a mix of workshop photos that Roman captured during class, my time in and around Augsburg, Munich, and my travels in general. I hope you enjoy and if you ever get the chance to visit Germany to take a class with Roman near Augsburg, or with Lukas in Munich, do not hesitate!

This was my first time in Germany and I can tell you with great confidence it will not be my last visit. I had an absolute blast and will be returning in the future for more workshops and just to hang out and explore.
