July '15 News #1

Happy July, everyone! Some very big changes coming this month, please read below:

Per Video Donations

I've felt guilty recently because of my slow pace, so I'm changing the pay-type to "per video" from "per month". This way, if I ever have a slow month, you won't have to change any settings since you won't be charged at all. In the opposite case as well, if I ever get too productive, you can change your donation limit for this new setting as well. I don't intend to go over 2 or 3 in a good month. My goal will be to produce a full-length video per month, so it won't change too much in the long run (just more frequent content from me). In light of this change, I'm adding some new tiers to balance some of the lower tiers. More info below:

New Tiers

This month I'm re-introducing a $25 and $50 tier, since each month will be guaranteed content.

  • $25 Color Credit Tier: Names listed in the videos you sponsor will be a unique color from normal Credit Tier patrons. Each patron in this tier also gets $15 off any commissions/auctions I may announce. (Must have sponsored at least 1 video before redeeming the discount) (Includes all lower tiers)

  • $50 Icon Credit Tier: Every video you sponsor will have your character's head/icon with your name (same color as Color Credit Tier) (Not limited to ponies) (Includes all lower tiers)

Updated Tiers

A few current tiers are being updated with content, but not price change.

  • +Content Tier: Goal for $400 will be changed to "All development stages uploaded". Currently only 1 or 2 progress updates are shown, so I'll make sure Storyboard, Animatic, Rough, and Semi-Final are all posted for patrons.

  • Credit Tier: Changing to only credit in videos, since monthly was from supporting Ask Frigid Drift updates as well.

  • Stream Tier: Streams will now be made public for a larger audience to enjoy, but patrons still get to join a Hangout call and receive a sketch request per stream if they join.

  • Cameo Tier: With the change to "per video", this tier is more valuable at its low price, so Pool Party feature is being transferred to Icon Credit Tier as the icon. No current plans to bring back Pool Party, but there will be one for all past patrons who supported me in Cameo Tier before July's change.
The $900 goal is being reduced to $600 and applies to the Icon Credit Tier as "Animated icons"

Thank you all for being here for me! I look forward to what we can accomplish with this new season!
