Maybe it's because your bank saw a large payment to a relatively new site and blocked it on fraud protection? That's what happened to me this month, as I'd bumped my amount up. (No idea how patreon handles re-trying to collect, but it should be good to go now NK when they next attempt!)

I emailed them last month before I did my spring cleaning and supposedly they re-try declined accounts every two days afterwards? O_O I asked if there was a way they could manually confirm it but since everyone uses different methods of payment they said they have no control over it ^^;;
