Komadori Weekly - what should we do?
Hello Patrons!
We have a question for you, and I’ll to keep it short.
You're buying a full, standard release game on Steam and then you see that it's still missing about 50% of the main story and content. How does it make you feel?
In our last post, we informed you about Steam’s policy change, which prevents adult games from being released as Early Access. For now, we’re continuing our work as planned, but we’d like to ask: How would you feel if we released an "Early Access" version as a full, theoretically complete game, with a promise of further updates?
What Our Planned EA Version Would Include:
The ability to complete all currently started quests
All girls reaching intimacy level 5 (unlocking threesomes)
One major story event to conclude this part of the gameplay (similar to the big conference event and Tsubame’s hiring)
What Would Be Missing:
Girl levels 6 to 10 and their perks
Three sexual positions
No foursomes
Additional outfits for the girls
Possible gaps in extra content.
While we have our own thoughts on why this solution might not be ideal and why we’re even considering it, we don’t want to influence your feelings on the matter. We must assume that, despite our communication efforts, many people might not read our explanations before purchasing.
So let me ask again:
You're buying a full, standard release game on Steam and then you see that it's missing about 50% of the main story and content. How does it make you feel?

Hi there, That's fine, but please prioritize stability for the early release. We don't want bugs to put off casual players.
I think one of the easiest ways to make this clear would be to sell the game saying "act 1" is complete and that act 2 will be release as a free update later.
It's quite simple. Standard and full should be clearly described, and if you have used Steam and understand it enough then you should be able to discern that it's a requirement to list everything included in descriptions titles, content etc. If anyone uses steamdb you can see the information added deleted what it has etc. While and if I'm buying it on Steam as and THEN I see it's missing after being advertised full, standard (as advertised) then it's simple. It isn't full, and it isn't a standard release then I didn't get what I paid for. If I don't get what I pay for it's being scammed, ripped off, and it shatters integrity, makes me pissed and I'm getting my money and then a lot lot more, etc. So in other words, I'd feel like I need revenge, get my money back, file with whatever law agencies or whatever needed. Yeah, I do that. I just got my 5th official mailed SS and DOB breach from transunion, previously others like equifax. Id thefted multiple times. I view it as theft by deception then, didn't get what I paid for, scammed on purpose as it was released with clarity and ability to prove it through packaging etc. A promise doesn't mean anything unless it's guarded by liability.
(to clarify macha this has nothing to do with this company, release, devs, whatever plans, etc, as you know I loves ya all..been supporting for years..and I can only imagine with all this crap steam and guard rails put on that it is not really fair for anyone on the team. It's very unfair in my opinion that this needs to even have to be dealt with by you and other teams likewise.) Hoping that as patreon for years receving builds, yet a steam user by default myself I know that I would not purchase from steam with a promise alone, universally.
Depends, you'd need to advertise VERY clearly that it isn't complete.
I was thinking the same thing, it really needs to be very obvious that the game isn’t complete. Most people following this Patreon probably won’t mind, but there are others who don’t follow closely, and even if it’s mentioned somewhere, I think there are enough people who might miss it . As long as it is clearly mentioned, I think it should be fine, but there are still risks I guess.
Almost every single non adult game has DLC on the release day you have to buy as extra content. It makes me feel like I don't want to buy games anymore unless I'm already invested in the series. I really loved playing your first game on Steam, so I'll definitely buy this one, but I'm not doing very well financially right now, my debt is over $6,000, otherwise I'd be helping you out monthly. I apologize. There's nothing anyone can do about scammers, I built my debt to protect myself, but it didn't save me, it only stopped a scammer from taking $7,000 credit from me. She did get more than $500 credit with a lying promise to help me pay my debt. I never felt more abandoned and alone when I learned she's in Nigeria and not USA like she's been telling me. I'll need to learn how to budget my spending so I can pay my credit cards off, and do my best not to fall prey to lying scammers while no genuine women ever even consider me human.
Hey man, thank you so much for your honesty and for sharing your story. Please don’t apologize for not being able to support us —your well-being comes first. Paying off debt and taking care of yourself is a huge achievement, and we’re holding our fingers crossed for you. If you ever need resources or tips on budgeting, there are some great communities and tools out there (like r/personalfinance on Reddit) that might help for completely free - no need to subscribe to any coaches or buy courses on that. And remember, there is no shame in trusting people - it is the scammers who abuse the good hearts of others who should be ashamed of themselves and the vile lives they lead.
