(PREVIEW) Provocative Grind | Kiss-n-Grind 1.9
Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing great ❤️, I’ve got a new update for the Kiss and Grind mod: Provocative Grind!
Since "grind dance" is part of the name Kiss and Grind, I always felt like it needed more love. Right now, the mod only has one grind dance — and that was made a long time ago. My animation skills have improved since then, and the mod itself has grown into something much bigger, it’s now one of my main romantic mods.
So I wanted to pay tribute to the original themes and vibes by creating a new interaction and animation that will cover that part of the mod,
Animation Style & Mood
My main focus for this animation was to make it feel more intimate and heated, while still blending it naturally into The Sims 4’s romantic atmosphere. It’s a slow, close back-dance
I also added subtle movements and playful flirtatious gestures throughout to break the tension — making the Interactions feel more layered and more fun for a casual gameplay.
Where to Find It:
Click on a Sim > Romance > Kiss-N-Grind
Kiss-N-Grind pie menu inside the Romance category. All future interactions from this mod will show up there.
Note: The interaction won't appear if your sim hasn't had their first kiss yet or the level of romance is too low.
Features of the Update:
New, highly detailed animation
Full sound events synced to the animation
Dance/romance interaction for storytelling or date nights
A new icon that fits the updated vibe
Custom Flirty Buffs
Fully autonomous interaction for NPCs
New Romantic Sentiment possibility
Interaction Outcomes:
Both Sims get a Flirty buff called Romantic Friction.
If the target Sim is already flirty, there’s a chance they’ll gain a Romantic Sentiment:
“Can’t Get Enough” — craving more after that moment of closeness.When Sims with this sentiment are near each other, they’ll get a special Flirty moodlet called Magnetic Pull.
Upcoming Features:
There’s another interaction I’ve been working on that was originally going to be included in this update, but I decided to separate it and release it soon as part of a "Wave & Grind" update.
It is bold, playful, and mischievous Interaction, perfect for stirring things up without catching feelings. More on that in the upcoming Wave & Grind update, stay tuned!
While working on my big mod for this summer, there will also be other small updates for my other mods. which I will share more about it very soon,

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Kiss-n-Grind should be working fine. Make sure you're using v1.9.8 and that L0t51 Core is updated to the latest version. Let me know if you run into any issues!

Hey, Most of the mods should be working fine now. The only one that still needs an update is the Make Bed mod.
Any timeline on an update to this mod? or to lot 51?
By updating lot 51, I recovered all the mods because yes lot 51 was updated on July 2nd 😉

FYI, the mod "Lot 51" is needed for these to work and it has not been updated yet after the July 1st update.

I found the issue, XML Injector has to be updated. They released one on July 1st.

Hi! Downloaded the mod 2 days ago and only got to try it yesturday. The animations are incredible, thank you! I'm just running into an issue(that I think is not a bug) which could lead to a suggestion if you're open to hear it. I mostly play gay receivers male(bottoms), usually in single household for a while until they meet someone serious. I tried to use the animation on a romantic partner that I don't controle and wanted my sim to be the one grinding on him, but the opposite happened. Is there an option or something to choose which character do the dancing? Or is it based on gender? I'd like my sims to go clubbing and grind on romantic interest without having to add them to my household. If there are no options for this, could you consider it in another update? Or simply like a kiss and grind interactions like: give provocative grind. If you are into it of course. Thank you for your work, it shows passion and commitement, can't wait for futur updates!!
Hey! I’m so glad you enjoyed the animation. Thank you for the kind words; it really means a lot! 😊 That’s great feedback. The issue with the “Give Provocative Grind” idea is that it won't work with female sims; with how the mod is set up, female sims always play the grinding animations, but I will try looking more into the idea of giving the player a role-selectable option. I’ll look into what’s possible with that setup! like adding an in-game setting or something like that Thanks again for the feedback and youre insight, and I’m really happy you’re enjoying my mods so far. I am not able to use this either :( i deleted all my mods completely and didnt have any other versions and still didnt work for me

If you’ve cleared all mods and are only using the latest version, make sure L0t51 Core is fully updated and that Script Mods are enabled in your Game Options. Let me know your game version, too, so I can help you figure it out!

Hi! Let me know what the issue is exactly. If the latest interaction isn't working, double-check that you’ve removed all older versions (especially 1.9.7)
Hi! I love this mod but I have run into a major bug. I can't press my sim for self-interaction After doing 50/50 I narrowed it down to issue coming from my Utopya folder. Then I removed the latest update to kiss and grind and everything worked properly. Update- i didn't see others had also reported this issue already. Sorry

Hi! That issue is caused by version 1.9.7, it prevents the animation from playing. Please make sure you’ve fully removed 1.9.7 and are only using 1.9.8. That version includes the fix. Let me know if it still doesn’t work after that!

Nothing happens when I run the animation for some reason. The sims just continue to stand there.

Reporting that 1.9.6 of Kiss & Grind seems to have fixed the pie-menu bug. I had it too earlier today.

Hi, I was very excited about this mod but unfortunatly I ran into a massive bug ... my female sim cannot click on *any* other female sim with this mod installed. No other female outside of the household. Males are fine for some reason. The grind interaction between her and her husband - also no problem. I tried everything and was about to cry bc this game is so annoying and always corrupts and breaks but ... as soon as I took this mod out ... it seems to be resolved. Thank god I only downloaded very little stuff today that I have all tested before trying to remove this mod ...

Hello! Love the Kiss-n-Grind mod! Does the early access no longer apply to Gold tier for this mod? I've always gotten early access in my current tier but it looks like I have to be Platinum to receive any early access content.
Just to clarify, early access for mods has always been part of the Platinum tier, while animation packs are available to Gold tier members. I totally understand the confusion though, and I’ll reach out directly to offer some extra help!
