PEOPLE EATING is wrapped.
Hello everyone!
We just wrapped production on the second of our five short films. This one proved to be truly a task and I can't wait to show you some footage and behind the scenes work. Due to the movie being essentially about cannibalism, there was a lot of meat hanging around the set, some of which was eaten by our lead actress who was absolutely stunning in the role. Megan Koym, our director, is relatively new to direction but I think she really nailed it and made a clever and funny, yet truly upsetting film about the relationship between men and women. We'll just have to see how it all cuts together.
In addition to all the production design I did on the film, I also had to acquire a smoked pig head for the opening sequence, wherein someone cooks a human face. Naturally, I had to remove the pigs face from the skull and it was easily one of the most disgusting and challenging things I've ever done. But the scene turned out pretty difficult to watch which was absolutely the intention. It's funny how, on every set I work on, I have some new and completely insane new story I can tell about some challenging thing I was required to do.
Anyways, next week we start INTERIM, the 3rd of our 5 short films. This one basically follows a young boy dealing with the death of his mother. To let you in on a little secret, I'm not exactly sure how this one is going to work because there are a lot of challenging special effects. Hopefully the team can figure it out, but alas I'm just shooting it so I will do my best to hide any imperfections. Nevertheless the shoot should be crazy and a lot of fun and yet another step outside my comfort zone.
YOUTUBE STUFF: ~
As far as YouTube goes, today is the day! My channel should be released from Maker today or in the following couple days (Maker has a tendency to do everything at a snail's pace). So with that in mind, I guess I can let you know that I'm working on a new video to come out right at the beginning of April, in all likelihood. As I am drowning in films, production for YouTube has been a little slow. But when it rains, it pours I suppose. When these films are done, you're going to see so much quality content from us that it may be a bit overwhelming. 5 films, plus behind the scenes, perhaps commentary tracks, then I'll be back to doing videos as often as possible. I think the next couple months are going to be pretty good. Lets just hope the release from Maker doesn't kill me in the next couple days.
Anyways, thank you all again for your donations, they have made these films exponentially better and I think you'll find them to be a lot of fun. And my next YouTube video should be something you're interested in so that should be a lot of fun as well. I look forward to hearing from you.
