Welcome to December!
Hey there friends! Welcome to a new month. First things first I want to thank you for supporting me in November. It was a rocky month with a lot of hard days and long nights but we came out of it alive. And the video I uploaded last is being talked about very positively which makes me hopeful that I can make more of that kinda 'short-subject' video in the future, and wouldn't that be neat? Maybe.
Above, there's a secret super special video that I actually just finished making for a class of about 80 people. It's just something I was working on anyway so I figured there's a small chance you might want to see it. It's about the legendary fourth wall break in Alien, that you probably already know about but if not well heck, now ya do!
Now on with this months stuff.
Last month all the Patreon letters for October were sent out. Hopefully you got one and if you did you should tweet me a picture or something. It's always exciting when folks get stuff from me in the mail. For all the new folks this month, I'll be sending yours out in the next couple weeks in between my other work.
I am excited to tell you about a couple projects I have this month. The first has already started production. It's a short video on Ingrid Goes West and The Psychology of Our Relationship to Technology. Eek! It's something I've had on my mind for quite awhile so I figured it would make a good short subject while I work on the next bigger video which I'm currently drafting. I'm hoping it gets done before the world ends but I can't be sure. It's very long and difficult with a lot of historical sources to pick through and learn about.
I think I have all the ideas in place for what I want the video to be but now it's just a matter of actually sitting down and writing them all out. That said, I think you're all going to be very pleased with the subject matter and all the ideas contained within. Also Remington will be back for this one, HOORAY! We've missed him, haven't we?
That's all the big news for now. I will plan the Patreon stream for the month in the next coming days. If you haven't yet, perhaps check and see if your pledge was declined for the month, there's always a lot of declines at the end of each month, so it's best to keep an eye on it from time to time. I sent those of you that were declined private messages, so check your inbox.
Thanks for the lovely support everyone. I look forward to showing you what I'm working on very soon.

Hyped!
just a note of confusion at the end there, alien and aliens have diffrent directors and were drastically diffrent movies with drastically diffrent vision's and messages. The way you said the way you said it makes it seem like they had the same director so this couldn't be the case
At the opening of the video, I state that I want to talk about Ridley Scott's Alien. At the end, I state that James Cameron made the sequel.
Are you in my brain? I have been obsessively revisiting this whole franchise over the past couple of weeks.
yells yes at screen
It's like the entirety in both "Funny Games" movies all in a 10-second clip!
I was actually thinking how it's exactly what Funnygames would have been like if Haneke had chosen a (much) more subtle route. Not that there's anything wrong with Paul's gaze (I will 'fite' anyone who says there is).
