Hearing the voice of all things & being able to read/decipher poneglyph stones are two different things. You don’t get one by having the other. Way big mom said that sentence was confusing.

You did see Pudding with 3 eyes at the end of Fishman Island when Luffy talks to Big Mom, but the series hasn't stopped to talk about a 'race of three-eyed people' like this until now. There has been mentions and showings of lots of different races though, like the Giants, Tontattas, sky people with wings, long neck, long arm, etc etc, plus others that you've seen but never would have suspected. It's really easy to think some things are just random details in One Piece lol, but everything matters eventually, and your questions will be answered 😉
