I think those are common ninja gestures yeah, but also Oda and Kishimoto have been good friends for years. Oda surely had Naruto on his mind when writing some of these chapters.

I had no idea about this leprechaun video. First time hearing about this lol what the hell. I remember Michelle early in this arc predicted asking if we were gonna see the poneglyphs lol. The lore is loring lmao ngl I forgot some of this stuff so it hit different rewatching this and getting a reminder 😂 Oda and Kishimoto are friends so I think this is one of those times where Oda gave a nod to Naruto. Especially the summon a giant frog thing and the Jiraiya pose. Could be wrong. I know Oda has at least referenced Naruto before. Also fun fact Raizo and Guy sensei share the same VA. Makes it even funnier with the ninja stuff lol
There's certainly nods to Naruto, but all the ninja lore is older and fairly well known from Kabuki theatre. Like the thing you call a Jiraiya pose is a Kabuki pose. Hell, Jiraya's name comes from an old ninja story about a guy who turns into a toad. Swapping with a log, the finger pose, shadow clones, puffs of smoke, even Zoro's weird reference to hiding in the ceiling and being stabbed were all very common ninja references that predate Naruto. You can tell they're still giving nods to Naruto though, specifically summoning a frog is very Naruto, and common those these tropes may be, they know their audience of kids would probably know them from Naruto rather than the classics. The scene is a nice way of saying "These are all common ninja things, yes, like Naruto, but not Naruto". That's probably why Kanjuro and Raizo both lean heavily into the Kabuki make up and aesthetic to keep them visually separate from Naruto ninjas.
I liked the fact that Michelle paused to discuss what she was thinking and to gather her thoughts at one point. One miss I think u guys do is talk thru some of the important info instead of pausing to gather and also go off on tangents. Also I know there are a ton of info you are processing, and curiosity and theories of what to come and lore is there but sometimes, you gotta listen first then process and then discuss. Also I do understand u guys trying to engage cuz this is a reaction and not just watching but I think other than just receiving praise a little criticisum isn't bad to improve the reaction as well. Just my 2 cents!! Great reaction by the way.
Good point. I feel like alot of people watching reactors hold them to such high regard that its impossible to give any kind of criticism. I see alot of people giving critic to reactors in the comments (especially on patreon) but when they do they are met with "if you don't like it, don' t watch" type of comments. A good way to do it is the way you've done it. Praise praise critic praise praise. You have to kinda make a criticism sandwich lol.

girl... i know the pacing is bad, but that was not solely for the "dramatic" effect. clearly, it's so bad on them that's it's hard for them to say. and honestly, for me the pacing on that scene is acceptable, also with the voice acting of kinemon punching his leg to let the words out of his mouth *chills*. imo it's an emotional scene, and more similar scenes are going to come. so I guess I'm just gonna keep reminding y'all, please be understanding of the "bad" pacing of one piece (the studio kinda had no choice since one piece is a weekly anime and they're always catching up with oda's weekly manga release) so hopefully you guys don't misread the situation & emotion of the scenes :)

Honestly, when I first read this chapter in the manga, it somehow convinced me that even after they find the One Piece, it still won’t be the end of the series. Especially with all the lore surrounding the 800-year history, the Void Century, Joy boy, the D. Clan, and the Ancient Weapons. And when you connect all of that to Rayleigh at the Sabaody saying that the Roger Pirates learned the true history of the world, and that even if he (Rayleigh) told the Straw Hats everything now, they wouldn’t be able to do anything yet, it really makes you realize that One Piece goes far beyond simply reaching the final island and finding the treasure
Also this one thing I cant get out of my brain. Twice its happened. First: What Crocus said when the Straw Hats were leaving Laboon. He said that Luffy reminds him of Roger, and then he said something along the lines of "Do you think hes the one you have been waiting for?" Same thing happened when Whitebeard fought Teech. He told him that "You are not the one Roger was waiting for" I cannot get that out of my head. What did he mean by that? Did Roger actually find the One Piece? If so, what is/was he waiting for since that time? Also, Crocus was on Roger's ship but whitebeard was not. They were friends so when did Roger talk about all that with WHitebeard? Did he talk to anyone else about it? I think Rayleigh has all the answers and is a FAR more important character than we realize. I believe that eh will play a vital role in Luffy becoming the KOTP even more than he has already done.
