Having seen the first 3 episodes in theaters the hype wasn’t so high for me these last couple of weeks, but now that we’ve got just one more to go before we’re all on the same page, I gotta admit I’m starting to get excited again! As far as what’s going on with Jugram and Ywbach, I’m pretty sure that Ywbach is mainly wielding soul king power (the black stuff) and Jugram is using the Almighty. Because of their connection, Jugram is also able to inherit the soul kings power resulting in that new form (which manga readers have never seen before by the way). The soul kings power is now Ywbach’s and my theory is that because of that it’s kind of tied together with the Almighty. So eyes are part of the appearance of that power even if Ywbach is not currently using Almighty to see the future.

The form Jugram (Ywach's right hand man) had near the end of the episode was a concept Kubo had for the character but did not put it into the manga so it is anime only

I love the opening scene where Orihime talks about the red flower that reminds her of Ichigo. Tatsuki picked the orange flower because of how it looked (Ichigo's hair). But Orihime looks past the appearance and sees his heart... The jugram form at the end is completely new so even manga readers don’t truly know what’s going on with who has the almighty rn. My guess is it’s one of two possibilities: 1) yhwach has reached a point of strength where they are both able to use it simultaneously, or 2) jugram has it atm and yhwach is only using his new soul king powers not the almighty. But we don’t really have a concrete answer yet.

Well i dont like comparing power scaling in anime,but i dont agree with your take on Gojo. In anime verse we looked up in a higher being ,Gojo is just a human and not that OP (Toji proven that) ,but in Ichigo verse they all shinigami (a higher being) so they not being fully human or totally not human already beating JJK character that fully human

Kisuke bankai was sooo clean. Bleach always had great pacing minus maybe some slow bits in hueco mundo and sound design always been great. I definitely think bleach will undoubtedly take your #1 spot out of the big 3 Ron. And I still remember how hard you glazed it and loved it when the both of u started og bleach :) I feel you connected to bleach the most same with Ichigo as an MC! But who knows u still have one piece to wait on so we will have to see

This stretch of Bleach is definitely showing that there's levels to these Bankai - and Kisuke has one of the most busted ones, definitely the best ally to have. He's insane as a support to have, he can reconstruct anything to his benefit on top of his intellect. So many dope fights coming up ! And don't forget the Vizards vs Gerard Valkyrie !!!

What I've always liked about this battle is that when Urahara says the line about if you lose, you die is the first time we get "real Urahara" that's the man behind the goofiness—a calculating, ruthless warrior...who just happens to be a good guy. He's actually not that different from Mayuri. Mayuri just invades his allies' bodily autonomy more often. And I love how they cleared up what was going on here; in the manga it was hard to tell, and here in the anime they show that Urahara is constantly restructuring himself in order to deal with all the poison. The Jugo/Ishida stuff is new; I think it's hinting at the fact that now Yhwach is beyond that limitation of switching so he can actively share the power with Jugo. As far as sound design goes, Bleach is even better than newer OP episodes because of decades Toei has reused sound effects from Dragonball and Dragonball Z in One Piece. They are literally using sounds that are 30+ years old.

At the start of Bleach, when Ichigo was training with Urahara we first seen his Zanpakuto ’Benihime’ which translates to “Crimson princess” or “Red princess” Urahara says to Ichigo “Benihime is much too fierce to let a blade like that stop her” in reference to Ichigo’s broken blade. Ever since then I was interested in Urahara’s Zanpakuto and what it looks like and we finally see the manifestation here with his bankai 🔥 my goat Grimmjow is back, that made the episode even better.

Ever since I came across the manga panel of Urahara’s bankai I couldn’t wait to see it animated and it ofc did not disappoint🔥. It’s like a puppet type vibe is what I’m getting and it’s ironic cuz it seems like he was controlling Yoruichi. Bleach definitely is one of those anime where the power system is so hype. We all look forward to everyone’s bankai because we don’t see it as often with certain characters. It comes right when their back is against the wall and they have no other choice and when we see the bankai it almost never disappoints. I swear if we get Aizen’s bankai ima faint 😂

THE KING

Yhwach's "The Almighty" belongs to him since he is the source. When he's asleep, he's given it to Jugram but only a weaker version (see the future, not alter). If both are awake, which is what is happening now, then there's a transition period where Yhwach regains the true extent of the Almighty. That's why during that transition, Uryu sent Ichi and Orihime since he doesn't want Yhwach to regain his full abilities of altering and foreseeing the future. Also if you're ever interested in catching slight details like that metaphor you mentioned at the start, there are some analyzations I've done on them, especially Aizen. Love that guy

YOOO, I just re-read a certain part of the Bleach manga and I already knew how powerful Ichigo was but that particular part in the manga really made me realize how far above everyone else Ichigo actually is to the point where even Aizen said that particular line. Can't wait until that part gets animated/released

I think for Yhwach vs Jugram All Mighty thing, its just Soul King probably had it. So Yhwach took Soul King's All Mighty and the other went to Jugram?

So, in some ways, the manga actually makes it clearer what Urahara is doing with his bankai. Basically, his bankai reconstructed his arms and legs to be much stronger than they'd normally be in order to hang with Askin's Vollsterndich form. They do show that in this episode, but the manga actually explained it. I will say, take this with a grain of salt since I read that chapter over 10 years ago, so maybe someone who's read that chapter recently can confirm lol. If we're taking extenuating circumstances out and just focusing on the pure action and choreography, I think Bleach is the best in the Big 3 in that area. I'm only caught up with One Piece and Bleach though, so I won't speak about Naruto. If we do take in all the extenuating circumstances and such, I think One Piece has more impactful action than Bleach, if that makes sense. All right, now I'm gonna go watch more of your Bleach reactions (Soul Society, baby!) lol

I feel like Kenpachi is bit obvious, its going make him better at cutting. So I'm personally not too hype for Bankai, unless they prove me wrong. IMO the Bankai I was most interested in before TYBW was Aizen, Yamamoto, Shunsui, and Kisuke. Tho I don't think we getting an Aizen Bankai. For the sole reason that his Shikai is so powerful, that I feel like it likely would be a letdown compared to his Shikai. Shunsui was really hyped up during Arrancar arc, where Starkk was trying to get him to use it, then Shunsui just beat him without it. Interest Level: Yamamoto > Shunsui > Kisuke > Aizen

Kisuke imo ranges from a really strong man to he could be the most dangerous person in Soul Society above even the technically strongest people in Soul Societyi. Realistically his strength/sword skill are top level, but his planning and IQ is what makes him same tier of "threat" to Yhwach as 5 War Potentials. Yhwach fear him above Yamamoto. Realistically I could see if he has time to plan or think, he could prob defeat every captain.

The sound effects this episodes were super dope. From the song that played when Askin appeared in his Vollstanding, Benihime's joint sounds, then zipper sounds from Urahara using his bankai ability to Yuha's pulsing Soul King cloak - everything was top tier. Very excited for next episode, beginning part left me speechless!

Askin is the most dangerous enemy in all of Bleach outside of his majesty. Smartest man in all of Bleach with a million contingencies nearly died in a 1v5.

Jugram vs Uryu is completely revamped in the anime compared to the manga, that form you saw Jugram have near the end wasn’t in the manga at all, so a lot of manga readers are also curious to see the direction the fight will take, and yes he has the almighty during that fight and tells ishida that and says Yhwach doesn’t since they swap at night

So urahara can basically reconstruct physical reality with his bankai, as long as it is in range. That’s how he opened up askin’s body, and why he was rearranging the wiring of his muscles and nerves to give him even more strength. We don’t know how far this ability can go as far as reshaping reality with its reconstruction, but it’s a very creative and powerful bankai for sure!

[Thoughts or Tidbits] - Askin stands out here in that unlike so many of the Quincy or rather Sternritter he doesn’t like to work in “absolutes”, even further we see, as Kisuke suggested that he doesn't even share a level of pure loyalty to Yhwach, rather he follows him out of the sake of Curiosity, Curiosity of a new world. [I think this is interesting in that Schrifts (the unique Quincy abilities) are representative of trauma, fears or impactful experiences of the individual. Askin’s ability is representative of chemical warfare and survival of it, so it’s perfect characterization that he’s willing to follow an extreme to see what world would come of an unprecedented threat like Yhwach, it’s like a chemical experiment on a universal scale] - Many forget but the Quincy Volstandig’s have name’s. These names are always in reference to god in some manner, Askin’s as is titled Hass Hein meaning “God’s poison taster - Urahara has an extremely fitting Bankai, as he explains he's the type to prepare for every possible scalenario, what better ability than one that can restructure all things, to take what is and make of it what's necessary to move forward. Its precision is scary in that he can even deconstruct and reconstruct his own body to make himself physically improved, be it speed or strength. [Not to mention he's doing this while be afflicted by Askins poisons] - The scene with Orihime and Ichigo is quite impactful in that she finally can fight alongside Ichigo without being a burden, she knows her own value, she can protect herself and her allies without self sacrifice or sitting out. On the flip side Ichigo shows a healthy development as well, as he no longer approaches conflict as a duty birthed of trauma, he doesn’t need to do it all himself, he can trust in and rely on others to protect what must be protected.
