You can check up on Whitebeard's crew and fleet if you don't remember. He has a main crew and subordinate pirates(they have their own pirate flag but their alliance are with Whitebeard). It's either Luffy accepts them all as a main crew or it could become a subordinate pirate situation.

Luffy always calls out his technique names like “Elephant gun” but as far as like saying “I’m gonna punch/kick you” this is the first he’s done that since Fuji is blind. Shows he has so much respect for him and wants to fight fair. I love Fuji, best admiral.

It would be like Whiteboard and his allies, yes. And this is a huge deal - though this isn't a requirement to be Pirate King. You'll definitely understand the significance of this more as the story goes though

I love the conclusion of the Dressrosa arc, especially episodes 740 to 744. I love the way Luffy refuses to let Rebecca go against her own wishes. I love the way he fights Fujitora, announcing all of his attacks because he kind of likes him and wants to give him a “fair” fight. And I love the way everyone starts to see Luffy for who he really is and wants to follow him. It made me realize that almost all of my favorite episodes of One Piece are the ones that show what kind of person Luffy is. When he gives his hat to Nami. When he shouts at Robin, “Say you want to live!”. When he punches a Celestial Dragon without hesitating for even a second, knowing full well that it could have catastrophic consequences. And many more! You know that feeling when you try to explain Luffy to someone who has never watched One Piece? You tell them about all these incredible moments, and the reaction is always the same: “Yeah… so what? Isn’t he just like any other main character?” And I think that is part of Oda’s genius: he shows instead of telling. You can’t really tell someone that Luffy is special. You can’t simply describe his greatness. You can only show it. And somehow, even a blind man like Fujitora can see it.

King of the pirates doesn't necessarily mean they unite everyone. Like Gol D. Roger was the King before, but had lots of enemies. It just means they're the strongest!!

Oda is such a good writer man, in just 10 minutes he sets up great moment. Fujitora said that he blinded himself because he saw some f up things in his life, and then 10 minutes later he regrets that he is blind, because he wants to see Luffy’s face. So poetic and beatiful

Fun fact! "Go mu" translates to the numbers 5 and 6 (56), which is a Japanese wordplay for "gomu" meaning rubber. This is why Oda made it so the fleet ended up being 5600 haha if you look for it, there is a lot of significance in the numbers Oda uses throughout the story. It's super fun to look for haha Example; Oda frequently assigns this number to Luffy, such as on his childhood clothes, his Dressrosa Corrida Colosseum entry number (0556), and other visual easter eggs. Also Whitebeard had a fleet as well and so do other BIG pirates. Luffy is just becoming that BIG :)

well fujitora and law have similar abilities and laws fruits and its a paramecia so its not bezare and fijitura uses observation haki to see and feel the things around him also i think the ruble be much more badass also he took down doflamingo the guy that control the underground supply of artificial fruits to kaido yeah this is war and it started in punk hazard.

The in-universe analogy for the Fathers and Sons thing is Whitebeard, but it's more based off a real Yakuza tradition.

White beard is basically a example. In the paramount war or whatever it called. He had multiple pirate ships under the white bread banner. They all had their own leaders and white beard is just the supreme leader of all of them

Whitebeard operated his organization like a giant extended family, splitting it into two distinct groups: The Main Crew (Whitebeard Pirates): These were his direct crew members, divided into 16 divisions led by commanders like Marco and Ace. They sailed directly under his command and flew Whitebeard's iconic Jolly Roger as their primary flag. The Allied Crews: These were completely separate, independent pirate crews led by their own captains (like Squard or Whitey Bay). They ran their own ships, but swore loyalty to Whitebeard as their "father." Allied crews kept and flew their own unique captain's flags on top of their main masts. However, to show the world they were under Whitebeard's protection and part of his armada, they would fly Whitebeard's Jolly Roger alongside their own flag or paint his famous mustache emblem on their sails.

The scene of Fujitora and Luffy never fails to melt my heart. Oda is such a genius with these little scenes that hit you by surprise with the feels.

If you remember, Ace was Captain of the Spade Pirates but when he went under WhiteBeard’s banner he became a division commander of the WhiteBeard Pirates. These pirates are suggesting a similar set-up.

It's like how Whitebeard summoned all the pirates that were "under him" to marineford and how he owned territories but they're still their individual crews etc but also represent the over-arching power which would be the Strawhats in this case
