Wow, glad you watched a lot of the Canelo fights
I love how this show inspires people to start training or even become boxers (myself included)! There's even a pro boxer (Ben Whittaker) who has Ippo (and One Piece) tattoos ^^ About 13 years ago I made an AMV of HNI with one of the openings and I've gotten many comments over the years, where people say that they use my video for getting them hyped before training etc and how much they love the show (and manga). Somehow 13 years later the video is still going strong getting around 1m views per year ^^'
Oh Takamura, so jealous of the attention that Ippo was getting from the ladies 馃槀馃槀馃槀
There is one song that you haven't heard yet from this anime and it is now in every of my workout playlists. When it comes up in the anime you will know.
There's killers at every size, Pacquiao started out at 112lbs and won titles all the way up to 154lbs
this is the reason why people say floyd is the best bec he makes sure to play defense and win by points. Nobody thought he was good until he record got 50-0. the problem is that style of play wouldn't work in higher weightclass since everyone will have the same punching power as ippo
That鈥檚 a strong southpaw jab, because it鈥檚 his cross from his stronger fist.
I really respect how this anime handles its matches. It always establishes high stakes for both sides, making you care about who wins. Yet, it avoids cheap plot armor鈥攊n the end, there is only one definitive winner. What elevates it is the focus on grit. It constantly emphasizes the pure effort, training, and struggle characters put themselves through to get there. It feels incredibly grounded and close to reality.
IIIUUUUPPPOOOOOOO MI FUCKING CABRA MY GOAT LA BESTIA

Oda is the definition of redemption after being complacent. It鈥檚 important to always have a goal. Oda is very relatable because it鈥檚 a very human thing to just glide through life without passion. Passion and inspiration is the driving force for all of us. Without that what are we?
Facts. I also felt that reassurance at the end from the coach and gf that even if you fail at something it doesn't mean it's over if you keep your passion alive!
definitely the best anime for fitness motivation imo, you should also check out some of naoya inoue's fights, he is an absolute beast
