Dragonball verse is my favorite of all time .. bcuz it’s just good .. not too complicated..but still deep lore .. nostalgia.. just the feels u get from watching it are great .. BUT Naruto is my favorite anime of all time if that makes sense 😂 i acknowledge Dragonball as like the goat (MJ) .. but my goat is also Kobe (Naruto) 🤷🏾♂️

For those who don’t know, Dragon Ball is the anime archetype that made the Naruto world archetype. they kept asking in episode one what kind of world is this and that’s the point it’s not a “world” yet Goku is the pioneer of anime the foundation of Naruto started because of what Goku did at the end of the of the franchise the same with my hero academia the symbol of peace archetype “all might” comes from what Naruto did at the end of the show by becoming a beacon. All these shows are interconnected. Starting with Dragon Ball. Goku is the OG of all of these main characters. If it wasn’t for Goku, there would be no village/community archetype in later shows like Naruto. If that makes sense.
These shonen anime’s are teaching you step-by-step through each show how to achieve world peace via the Buddhist holistic chakra system evolving from each generation. For example, Goku represents the sacral chakra. That’s why his main color scheme is orange. The next generation of main characters. Like Naruto represents the solar plexus, which is the next chakra up. Then my hero academia Daku represents the heart chakra. Each show each starts off in a world the last main character built at the end of his series. It will blow your mind when you put two and two together yourself

Dragon ball and Dragon ball Z = the same manga, Dragon ball (Just like Naruto and Shippuden) Dragon Ball GT = A filler anime only sequel Dragon Ball Kai = Dragon Ball Z in HD, without fillers and different OST Dragon Ball Super = Canon sequel to dragon ball and a different manga
Kai still has a little filler, just less then OG Z and didn't include: Dragon Ball Daima = Set between Z & Super

personaly i would say Dragon ball and Dragon ball Z is in the same category, same as Naruto and Naruto Shipuden. for the reason that they only reason that Shipuden and DBZ is not just Naruto and Dragon ball is the anime split the series up in 2. They are bought one long manga. and the agrument about Boruto is that it is a new manga, like the newer Dragon Ball Super.
funny thing about the Dragon Ball Z is, when they split up the anime they wanted to call it Dragon Ball 2. but an error(graphical i believe) made it look like a Z so the translated version got translated into Dragon Ball Z and not Dragon Ball 2. not the only mistranslation in that series that has become a definition of something.

Double drops for Dragon Ball maybe? Like replacing with Boruto (not sure if you guys are resuming Boruto episodes or not) or afterwards? Dragon Ball is a HUGE anime too with a total of like 573 episodes (main, Z, Super) so that would be nice otherwise it'll take forever
Same with Naruto, the manga is all just Dragon Ball and there is no Z manga.. Boruto would be more like Dragon Ball Super I guess

Day 1 of asking for doubles
problem is at this 3 episode a week pace it will take 1 year to finish dragon ball. But you can end by November and get to the real amazing and emotional DBZ if you did 6 drops a week but i know MOD said no and does not deserve 6 drops, but even 4-5 drops can make it better and quicker.
Took a little less than a year, probably 10 months and a couple days.. His brother just finished it with the same 3 episodes a week routine and is about to start Z on Friday

Glad yall are enjoying it so far but don't get too caught up in the Z stuff since it's all the same manga anyway, the change your expecting will be gradual so just enjoy the adventure. Also like Ron said at the end there is some layer of truth to (mostly) every joke sort of like in Love is War so there is important lore/ character building even in comedic moments
man i missed DB so much, glad i get to watch this again with you after so many years. Yeah the show is so funny it reminds me of older one piece where it was more comedic too.. This also pick up later on but ultimately yeah DBZ is the peak of the OG show. Super is also great later on
Dragon ball and Dragon ball Z is all one in the Manga (519 chapters), it's all called "Dragon Ball" they only separated it for the Anime.
