It's funny you say if it was made by Mappa it would be over, because all of the animators that worked on this went on to create MAPPA studios, and the last season was handed to Mappa to make! so as it goes on the art and animation will improve, and that last season is crazy. Plus Mahito in JJK at some point makes a 1 to 1 remake of one of the main fighters moves! it's sick as hell

Half of this anime is comedy and I wasn't expecting it either. I was shocked by the blurred out scenes. They do a good job building characters in this anime too

I’ve watched so much anime of my time and I’ve seen a lot of peak anime. Hajime no ippo does something to me. It’s one of the few shows that shakes up my fighting spirit. Not physically but mentally too. Still growing strong trying to eat better and not be a couch potato lol. But brings back amazing memories first time I watched this in 2017 I went from 240-200 pounds with a 6 pack. I want it again!!! And I will get there!
