I joined for this anime specifically. I somewhat regularly search for Hajime No Ippo reactions on Youtube and am always disappointed to find none. But not today! I'm not even a boxing fan. The anime is just that good. Also the music is godlike.

Based on your self-improvement monologue at the beginning, you would really enjoy KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple. It's a good anime to watch if you want to start getting into Manga. Because despite how good it is they stopped adapting it to anime and you have to read manga to finish up.
