BLEACH TYBW EPISODES 33 & 34 REACTION 🔥

Pernida Parnkgjas, the worst name to try to pronounce in Bleach lol. Dude's got a crazy power and he's literally the worst matchup for Kenpachi, so I'm with Mayuri anesthetizing Kenpachi there. The continuation of this fight is very crazy lol So, Uryu vs Renji round 2 does not happen in the manga. Kubo and the animation team at Pierrot films put this fight in there to give more shine to Renji's bankai because, well, it's awesome. However, one of the problems I have with this fight is that, since it didn't happen in the manga, I knew that Renji was going to lose. I also don't like that Uryu was completely undamaged after the fight. Yeah, I know, blut vene and all, but that technique isn't a perfect technique. I know that this fight is supposed to show how powerful Uryu is, but he's up against a powerful bankai here! Still it's a cool fight, but, if we didn't get this fight in the anime, I wouldn't be that upset about it

Fun fact: The name of Mayuri's new Bankai comes from The Gospel of Matthew.

You guys should see Yhwach's design in the manga. Especially in B&W. It's actually terrifying, as if he's some Resident Evil character. To be fair, Ishida has been hinted at having this kind of power. In Cour 1, we got to know from Quilge Opie that Ishida's arrows were not supposed to be weaker than his own. In Cour 2, we got to know from Yhwach that Uryu has a special power that helped him survive the Auswahlen. Yhwach also gave Uryu his blood to awaken those powers and granted him the letter A. Ron is right about Pernida being set up before, although it was not said, but shown to us. Michelle also somewhat clocked it later own so kudos. In ep 24 of TYBW, there was a flashback showing Yhwach and Ichibei having a meeting. At that meeting, Ichibei sealed away Yhwach's Almighty in exchange for Pernida. That's how Pernida got into Quincies' hands. We did see a hint towards Mayuri's Altered Bankai in Cour 1. Bankais are supposed to represent the innermost essence of one's soul. So if Mayuri does alterations on himself, it is implied that he can do the same for his Bankai.

You're right Ron, Mayuri is a very strong character. Urahara was designated as a special war threat by Yhwach because of his unknown means, Mayuri is only 2nd to Urahara in that aspect

Kenpachi in this episode is why I hate that Unohana died. Kenpachi will die for the dumbest reasons and without any result wheras Unohana is the strongest healer and fighter.

The very first time you are introduced to Mayuri people tend to hate him, but I have loved him as a captain since the first time you see him in the anime. The way he talks and sees the world is so fascinating to me, and I'm here for it. Top 3: Maryuri, Zaraki, and Byakuya. I like how Michelle says he'll get his arm sewn back on when it was twisted into a puddle of blood right before their eyes in the episode.

Having Inoue makes me feel like limbs dont matter at all.

Remember when Osho had a meeting with Yhwach in the past ? It was a bit hard to understand but Osho did have the Soul King's left arm. However, Yhwach went to grab it and snatched it away from Osho. In exchange though Osho managed to seal Yhwach's eyes. Now, Yhwach's eyes have awoken, he absorbed the Soul King's powers too and Pernida (SK's left arm) is fully sentient fighting Mayuri.

Ishida was always pretty strong in Soul society Arc he literally 1v1 mayuri and forced him to retreat, after that he was most of the times on the sidelines, atleast he was always the strongest beside ichigo in their group

Ichibe had the soul kings arm but if u remember in the backstory of yhwach and ichibei, Yhwach took the soul kings arm from Ichibe and Ichibe then sealed yhwachs eyes

Honestly I would rather get bodied by Sukuna instead of fighting Mayuri

Squad zero did have the left arm until that flash back where they were speaking at the table with Ywach. Ywach took the left arm but ishibah sealed his eyes. (I can't spell the names lol) hope that helps.

Yhwach is A for Almighty and he granted Uryu the letter A so Michelle was right Ron. Can't say what the A stands for with Uryu cuz it's a spoiler I think. Uryu vs Renji was a whole movie, loved the animation. Looking back to Renji and Uryu's first interaction ep 16 of OG Bleach and looking at this episode now is insane. This is an acceptable L for Renji since he put up one hell of a fight & showed a lot of cool moves. Mayuri the goat. Plus he's Kubo's favorite character so he's gonna get some well deserved shine. When Pernida transformed into the hand, it reminded me of the hand off super smash bros lol. Next episode is my favorite in this cour...straight heat. Can't wait

It’s very interesting that you brought up the question of “how it will end” when deciding whether it’s the best thing you’ve ever seen, because that’s something that matters to me too. Anyone can write a character who seems “invincible”; what really matters is how that gets resolved. I’m very curious, because I also don’t know how it ends—I dropped the manga because I started to feel like some things were getting forced. But for now, watching the anime, I’m really enjoying it. And I know they’re going to change some things, so I’m very excited. Each episode has been better than the last. I really like Kenpachi, but I always prefer the intelligent characters, so Mayuri and Urahara are the best, hehe.

If you remember from the interaction between ichibe and yhwach in the past, yes ichibe had the arm and was the vassal. However yhwach freed the arm from ichibe which in turn ichibe used the power of the soul king to remove the almighty from yhwach.

Yall see why mayuri is kubo favorite character lol glad he is on our side. He terrifies me more than yhwach and Aizen sometimes. Most people want to see fancy moves and power ups like the renji v uryu fight but mixing in mental battles like all of mayuri fights makes it so good. Most ppl creeped out by mayuri I love when he pops off he still scary though.

Uryu was given the shift A, but we dont know if its the same as Yhwach. We also dont know what it does yet at this point. Uryu also got a massive power up from yhwach. Both when he was given a shrift but also and most importantly Auswahlen. Where yhwach took power from all remaining quincies to power himself and shared some of it with his royal guard which gave the quincies enough power to go from getting stomped by squad zero to forcing them to use bankai to defeat them. Also uryu vs is renji is an anime original fight. Was such a peak fight too.

Damn, Renji is getting dope. I'm finally starting to like him.

Every time I think insanity reached a new limit in Bleach, Mayuri proves me wrong. When he appears in screen you know the episode is gonna be something crazy in a literal sense of word. A baby giving birth to another baby, amazing! Also, perfect time to mention that Mayuri is the author's favourite character.

I mean he was never Team Soul Reaper, he said so himself. He was Team Ichigo/Orihime/Rukia. He said he was going to Hueco Muedo because his friend was in danger and initally plan to not go until he heard no soul reaper was coming. After Arrancar arc, we actually never seen him interact much with Soul Reaper past that. I think he said his goodbyes. Fullbringer we dont see interact much with Soul Reaper at the end, then beginning of TYBW he didn't interact much with any. As well as Uryu and most of the cast does not know about Yhwach abilities at all. I think they only got any hints during cour 3

So Ichibe(Osho) did have the soul kings left arm. But they showed a flashback at the end of the 2nd cour where Yhwach and Ichibe met to discuss a potential peace pact. During that meeting Yhwach took the soul kings left arm from Osho and ended up Losing his Eyes (the almighty ability) due to something Ichibe did with the left arm to close Yhwach "eyes".

SPOILER QUESTION..... Is it ever confirmed in the anime that Gremmy is the Soul Kings Brain? I don't remember haha

Tell me Mayuri isn't one of the best characters of all time. Especially for a side character? Peak design too, so sick. His fight with Pernida is definitely top 10 bleach fights, maybe top 5. And he saved Kenpachi by paralyzing him lol, so good

Power scaling in this show makes no sense... Unless it's explained later. Ichigo took some crazy training with the Squad 0, which so far has meant nothing. Ishida kills Squad 0 member in her strongest form, without breaking a sweat, but Renji is able to pressure him more than she did.

Just a quick reminder about Uryu : he did indeed obtain the letter A from Yhwach. He has the same letter as Yhwach, but we still don't know what the letter/power corresponds to for Uryu. And in Part 1, don't forget that he drank Yhwach's blood, which gave him his power-up with the letter A.

Personally i really like how Yhwach looks after absorbing the Soul King. It's simple yet effective, the ink-like substance draped over him with the multiple eyes gives him Eldritch horror vibes and i love that. i'm personally tired of the whole trope of giving the final villain an ethereal, angelic type of transformation so I'm glad Kubo went for the simple horror design instead. We already kind of had that angelic type of transformation with Aizen during the Fake Karakura Town Arc. Even if his design doesn't immediately give the impression that Yhwach is an Almighty (no pun intended) threat to the universe, the story for sure portrays him that way regardless of his design. I honestly can't imagine Yhwach with any other design that would do a better job to be honest, and who knows, maybe your guys' opinion on the design will change when you see more of it.

[Tidbits Ep.34] - Zaraki’s defeat is a proper indicator of the type of battle that is about to ensue, one that cannot be fought with simple power or might, a battle perfectly suited to a mad scientist. - The Left Hand governs “progress” or “evolution” and we saw that Ichibei used the left hand to seal away Ywach’s “Almighty”. Interestingly, it seems that the left hand (maybe through its ability to evolve) gained sentience and at some point sided with Yhwach and took on the name Pernida. Another point of interest is that Pernida was seemingly chained up, but we don’t know who did it or why. - The voice actor for Pernida wanted people to pay mind to the change in his voice, he states: “At the beginning of the episode, he has a baby voice. Then he starts spelling words, and with every passing minute, his voice deepens as he ages more and more. By the next episode, he’s going to sound even better and complete his evolution.” - As we all know Mayuri is a true scientist through and through and loves it in the way Kenpachi loves battle, so witnessing a foe who can evolve is an unbelievable dream come true. It’s such a high for Mayuri that he’s acting like a beast or fiend, expressing the same behavior that he often spoke down on. (As said by Mr.Tommo, “Mayuri is losing himself, growing closer to danger, and like Icarus flying too close to the sun” which is fitting given the whole sun outfit he was sporting) - Sidenote: It’s crazy that Mayuri just casually has tools that seem to be made out of people or souls [Posted before finished watching]

To kind of add reasoning behind Yhwach’s look, not to say it’s bad for you to dislike it, but Kubo always has a reasoning for why he designs his characters a certain way. He wanted Yhwach to look almost alien like after absorbing something as incomprehensible as the soul king, and the many eyes symbolize his “almight” power, along with imagery such as the all-seeing god. The main thing with Yhwach is that he isn’t supposed to look cool, like Ron said but rather inhuman and omnipotent. This is very similar with Tosen’s hollow form, it is very ugly and not cool, but it has a deep rich meaning that symbolizes his character which is what makes the design great.

[Tidbits Ep.33] - Grimmjow shows off a strange new ability, he can seemingly do a partial Resurrección which is something we’ve never seen an Arrancar do. - Many fans missed this when it aired, but for whatever reason, the Ending is reversed. As in the visuals appear in a reversed order (I have my speculations as to why, but It leans into spoiler territory so i’ll leave it be for now) - In Kluboutside we learn that the Schutzstaffel or Yhwach’s royal guard symbolizes different Era’s of war. Lille would be Present Warfare (Sniping), Gerard would be Medieval (Sword & Shield), Pernida could be Biological Warfare (Body Contortion), and Askin would be Chemical Warfare - Askin Naak Le Vaar has shown a particular pattern to how he fights, with both Mayuri and Tenjiro (0 Squad member) he attempts to goad enemies into chasing him, Mayuri was smart enough to call it out and ignore it, but here, much like Tenjiro, Grimmjow gives chase and Askin uses that to his advantage. It's interesting to see a character who has 0 shame in regards to how they approach battle, you can't even honestly call it a battle. - Renji sports a plethora of new abilities in the Anime-Only battle between he and Uryu. This is cool because many forget that Renji’s Bankai has always been an immature one, it’s supposed to take around 10 years to master, so it’s fun to see that on display. On the other hand Uryu’s new ability “Feder Swinger” is a great reminder of how scary a powerful Quincy can be, they have the power to truly dominate Reishi, which is the basic foundation of so many concepts in the Bleach world.
