i know this is a late comment but omg i wanted to drop the walking dead so bad after WHAT IM PRETTY SURE michelle is talking about i watched that episode on RELEASE as a kid with my dad and i was like oh man i hope nothing bad happens to my favorite characters this episode and jeez luiz let’s just say bad would be an understatement i thugged out the rest of the show as i grew up but man i just wish i dropped it right there because it wasn’t worth it 😭

At the end, Naruto finally got the chance to grieve over Kurama and process what was going on with Boruto, in the battle and meeting he didn't get that opportunity as he was on edge and had to be the 'hokage'.

Code is stronger than Jigen, the vessel, not Ishiki. I want to point that out, it's a huge difference.

We also gotta remember though, the the former Kage’s did not have tailed beasts, so Naruto losing Kurama does not make him weak still, maybe against the aliens but I mean he probably still stands a better chance again them compared to others soo 👀

I was actually shocked about Naruto’s panic attack during that scene. Like some others have pointed out, I think Naruto was planning on killing Boruto then and there but he of course couldn’t get himself to do it. No other reason why he’d look at his hand so intently, I like this theory the most. If it were like the Shippuden scene where it was “just” a panic attack, I doubt he would have looked at his hand like that. Naruto knows if Boruto evolved into Momoshiki, he’d have no chance.

Just as an addition, even tho Code has the potential to FAR outpower Jigen with his limiters removed, I doubt he is stronger than Isshiki. If you think about it, Isshiki was way stronger than when in Jigen’s body. So I think Code’s full potential might be on that level or slightly less that Isshiki. And about why Amado didn’t put emergency shut down on Code is a mystery. We don’t know who Amado is, as well as how he knows so much. But don’t worry. Everything will be answered when the unanimated part of the Boruto manga and the Two Blue Vortex (second most read manga on manga+ after One Piece of course) manga gets animated.

This is just my opinion, but I think dropping a show because your favorite character died, so long as the writers gave the death scene justice, is silly. There’s so much emotion to it that it would make me want to watch the show all the way through even more. Everyone truly thinks differently though huh

I wouldn’t be mad if you guys dropped the show lol I did😆 but honestly I wouldn’t mind picking it back up and finally experiencing the journey along side you guys being left out of the loop and not knowing what’s coming next like if I’m there watching it next to you guys

Code isn’t the typical intimidating villain like orochimaru, pain, obito, madara or even the other members of Akatsuki. He’s the kind of villain who’ll drive you up the wall (but in a good way). Whatever he does is a real pain in the neck🙃

I remember all i could think about when watching this episode is that Naruto still has sage mode. Hashirama was able to take down Madara with Kurama under his control with sage mode. Don't sleep on sage mode. Arguably the strongest jutsu in the entire show is sage mode jutsu. Naruto is still a threat without Kurama. Sasuke still has mangekyou sharingan. He's still as threat without Rinnegon. Don't sleep on on the goats just yet.

I’m part of the group that’s glad you took a few months off before reacting to Boruto or that you took a break after episode 218. The characters n stories in Nart n Bort are two different things, even though the elements of their story development are the same. Coz I also wouldn’t enjoy content from creators who constantly compare Boruto & Naruto in every episode especially regarding the early char development of Boruto which is often misunderstood. Instead of enjoying it, I actually criticize their immaturity for failing to see the difference between the OG and its sequel. I used to like ur channel because of Naruto. I really enjoyed your journey with Naruto. The break gave you time to manage the emotions and hype surrounding Naruto and to prepare your minds n emotions for Boruto. No matter what people say no matter how much harsh criticism there is directed at Naruto n Boruto, it doesn’t change the fact that I really love these two series (no criteria apply anymore)

Code as a villain makes sense when you see more of his character during his arc (sadly the last 7 or so episodes) and then the manga as well but I get your concerns on his power. It makes sense why he’s strong but the anime didn’t really get to that part yet sadly lol

I genuinely don't get the whole concept of Naruto and Sasuke were nerfed and I think it's not true at all. Tbf, Ishiki had too damn OP abilities and it's surprising actually that Naruto was able to beat him with Bayron mode. Their strongest opponent back in the Shippuden was Kaguya who's the only ability was changing dimensions....and that's it...just think about it.

So I think there was a dark moment to the show, Narutos breathing seems to point to a panic attack. But... if it were a panic attack because of the info he found, he would have had it in his office. Naruto as the Hokage was going to have to kill his son. I think it was him debating that in the moment. "Should i do that now..?" As a father his responsibility is to his son, however, he is the Hokage whose responsible for the safety of the entire village.

Im not the hugest fan of Boruto and it has flaws but I respect the way Ron put it into perspective. That scene where Naruto is panting and having a panic attack, I'm pretty sure he was trying to psyche himself up to do what the Hokage should be doing in that situation. The way he lifts his arm and the fact its his right arm makes it look like he was trying to prepare a Rasengan. Obviously this is all up for interpretation, but it makes sense with all of the conversations Naruto had that day with the Kage and Sasuke. It also parallels with Boruto breaking Naruto's trust during the exams, and Naruto preparing to do the same back to him. It's why Naruto looks off when Boruto tells him he trusts him as he takes the medication.

So this is the start of a huge break of filler that continues almost to the end of the show. Unfortunately the quality of the art & animation took a dive when it finally did return to the main story due to poor scheduling for the studio. Partly because they were focusing on Bleach TYBW by that point. Ultimately they decided to end the show’s production halfway through the next arc where we await its continuation. That being said, there’s still some exciting stuff to look forward to before the end! Just manage your expectations.

That scene with Naruto holding Boruto and Naruto suddenly breathing fast, it was bc he was having a panic attack! If you recall it’s the same panic attack he had when in shippuden he went to the kage summit to tell the other kage not the kill sasuke and they didn’t listen and were gonna have sasuke killed, he had a panic attack in front of Sakura and kakashi! All though there have been other fan theories that Naruto was planning on killing his son right there! But I personally believe it was a panic attack!
