There's actually a lot of anime-only and anime-expanded content in here. Uryu never faced off against Senjumaru, let alone defeated her, in the manga. Her bankai is an anime-only creation (Kubo's basically "fixing" his own manga). Also, you are not meant to understand Uryu's schrift yet, which hasn't even been explained yet in the anime, so make your guesses 👍 The fight between Juha and Ichigo does happen in the manga, but it's ridiculously short there, while they basically make it into a full-on fight here in the anime. Thus far, cour 3 is my least favorite of TYBW. It's got a lot of great stuff in it, but I resonate more with cour 1, particularly the second half of it with all the revelations and character development for Ichigo, and cour 2, I just think it has the best action.

Something to note about when Ron said "why are they even here???" talking about Orihime, Chad, Yoruichi, and Ganju (valid LOL) is that they are all technically relatives of the Soul King! Yoruichi and Ganju are from a Royal Bloodline, and Chad and (especially)Orihime are like spiritual relative bc Fullbringer abilities are explained to be manifestation of the Soul King's Power!

Love that y'all are actually trying to figure out Yhwach's perspective and wanting to go back to a single world instead of 3! An interesting point on what Michelle said about the Soul King splitting the worlds though is that he actually didnt create Hell. Hell predates the separation, so it actually still existed when it was "one world" !

Bleach has always been religious, very deep in buddhism. However Yhwachs name comes from the hebrew word for god YHWH, or Yahweh. So hes pretty much jesus christ and soul king is god. rather than being the antichrist

It's fine to talk and pause the episode but sometimes you guys talk in the middle of it and then miss something, get the information wrong even though its just explained to you. So maybe just set the episode back a couple seconds or something so you dont miss anything. Like you got senjumarus power wrong because you were guessing how it worked during the explanation of how it worked. It also just makes it difficult for you guys to keep up with information because bleach isnt like naruto or onepiece, kubo has stated he doesnt like to spoonfeed information. Its going to be subtle and can be missed if not paid attention to or rewatched. Even if you guys rewatch the episode later in your own time, to prepare yourselves for the next lot.

The Almighty is too OP

If you go back to ep 7 of TYBW, you'll see Yhwach laughing just before he was attacked by Yamamoto 1000 years ago. Yhwach was losing at that moment, and there's no reason for him to laugh at that time. However, based on the context we gathered from the flashback in episode 24, we know that Yhwach's eyes were sealed by Ichibei, never to awaken until the day he dies. So Yhwach, with the powers of the Almighty (before it was sealed saw this happening), knew that he had to "die" against Yama and then return eventually due to the cyclical nature of life, so that he would awaken his true powers 1000 years into the future, explaining his laugh at that time. There's another hint to Yhwach's powers in like ep 2 of TYBW. Luudaas (the hollow that was recruited into the army) was killed for predicting what was going to happen in the future. Yhwach seemed angry for no apparent reason, but it makes sense considering that he is the one who can see the future in the first place. Uryu was granted the same letter A as Yhwach. We do not know what that is (as in it's not the power of the Almighty but something else that has not been revealed), but it is in the same plane as Yhwach, so he can't be underestimated. Some of the questions you asked have already been addressed. In ep 24, during the meeting between Ichibei and Yhwach, we got to know that Soul King separated life and death and created the current set-up of the worlds. Yhwach wants to return it to what it was before, as he feels the pain and suffering of all those people who return to him upon their death. Kudos to Michelle for eventually predicting it, but it was already confirmed. Ron felt weird about Ichibei asking Ichigo to stop Yhwach and not kill him. To me, it is Ichibei appealing to the goodness in Ichigo, which is manipulative. This is further explored in the next episode, when it is revealed that Ichibei does not expect Ichigo to even stop Yhwach. Ichibei wants to maintain the status quo, and somehow Ichigo not being able to stop/kill Yhwach, aka losing to Yhwach, is supposed to help towards those plans. Ron theorised how Soul King could be a hybrid like Ichigo. That theory was all but confirmed when it was revealed that Yhwach needed Ichigo to kill the Soul King. It could be down to how you need a hybrid to kill another one. Physically, the Ichibei vs Yhwach fight has ended, but it is still going on on a meta level. That's because Ichibei had to know who the Soul King was (as in he's a hybrid) and how sending Ichigo there could have killed the Soul King (as Ichibei has the role of the author of Bleach). And since the end of the Soul King would mean a change in the status quo, which Ichibei is trying to hold on to, it is really surprising that he knowingly sends Ichigo over there. So somehow Ichibei thinks that even if the Soul King is dead, the status quo can be maintained. Couple that with the Irazusando training (testing to see if Ichigo is a vessel or not) that Ichibei put Ichigo under, we can conclude that Ichibei clearly is planning for something. Also, Yhwach was not necessarily calculating everything. He's a proper God in the story, and he takes the role of fate itself. So to him, all the pieces falling according to plan was fate itself and not something that he actively planned out to happen. Since Ron jokingly correlated Aizen to the Soul King, I want to say that there is a theory on how there's an actual connection, though, but not what you had surmised. The "Hollow form" Aizen transformed into during his fight against Ichigo had all this "eyes" imagery to it, which is similar to the four pupils that the Soul King has.

Only now did I realize that the name Soul King is pronounced "Adonaios," and that's something Gnostic, or Hebrew. Bleach is really detailed and full of references to various things, mysticism, religions, etc.

Yes, Yhwach hears the final moments of all Quincy and their screams. He also feels the Quincy have been the only ones left without a place in the world, so are treated unfairly. He feels like it’s all for the greater good of the Quincy even when he takes their lives himself. Another note: Squad zero is very strong, but they were not brought into squad Zero because of their strength. They were all promoted because they created something foundational to the soul society. They got power boosted from the soul king of course so they are massively buffed but that does not mean they are automatically more powerful than all of the soul society. People like Yamamoto are much stronger than it may seem. He lost his fight, but it was in big part due to his own stubbornness. Bleach is also heavily matchup dependent with fights, which I’m sure you guys have learned after years of watching it.

The soul king is a mutilated corpse basically that holds the 3 worlds together. I think the most interesting part is how Mayuri always calls him as if he's an object, a key, and this is what Yuha means with "humiliation". There's obviously more lore to it that we got a glimpse of it at the beginning of episode 28 in the flashback.

Uryu's real power is busted. There's also a theory that his schrift was the reason he survived the Auschwalen

In the manga squad zero last just 2 or 3 pages the fan were sad about that so in the anime they did more about fights of squad zero but there is no really explanation this is just aura farming and fan service

Ron you’ve been underestimating Uryu for a long time lol. No, nothing is fully explained yet, but remember the context clues. He was made to be the sole hire to the Quincy king. He was one of the only Quincy to survive the Auswahlen even though his mom was killed from it. He must be special. Like every other Sternritter, he has his own power(which of course as you said, will be explained at a later time) and remember how all the Quincy have their vollstandig when the bells start ringing and they get wings and a halo(which is basically their bankai)? You could see Uryu’s wings trying to form. He got more power when ywacht opened his eyes which allowed him to unlock that new power. His is just incomplete(yes, he defeated her with an incomplete volstandig(Quincy bankai)).

Time Kubo created the manga with the intent that not everything will be caught on the first read, and that obviously translates to the anime. So its perfectly fine not to catch everything in one sitting, part of the fun that adds to the community of it, is talking and discussing those aspects. Also (forgot to mention it) but notice the eyes, the Soul King had 4 pupils per eye, Yhwach has 3, the hand Ichibei had used to seal Yhwach had 2

The little flashback for yhwachs "backstory" that we saw looks like it was depicting the separation of the world into the 3 worlds we know today. The 3 ripples in the water. Dont look into how ishida did what he did. You will find out later. This was an anime only moment and is a much needed anime only moment. There are a lot of anime only moments coming up this cour. And next cour the author said to expect even more. Im so excited

[Tidbits Ep.28] - This episode was loaded with new content that wasn’t in the Manga, the most important being the reveal of why Ichigo was so important towards Yhwach’s plans and also learning the Soul Kings' name “Adnyeus” (Plus the fight here is exclusive to the anime) - We first saw this name mentioned last season during Yhwach’s chant for the Auschwallen technique. “...eye of agate, tongue of gold, skull cap, coffin of Adnyeus. This object we raise is your heart”. What’s interesting is that fans discovered that the name is likely a reference to “Adonai” a substitute phrase for the name “Yhwh” . This is important because Adonai means “made of god” and “eus” means “made of silver”. (Without spoiling, Silver has an important role to play in regards to Yhwach as the Quincy King so keep this in mind) (Notice that Ryuken was holding small pieces of silver in his palm) - Yhwach says “The more you turn your blade against me, the more you will fall into despair” This is because he can foresee the future, but the symbolic aim of this is to show how Yhwach embodies fate itself, do you raise your blade against what you believe to be set in stone? how can you and should you fight what's believed to be inevitable? - We still don’t get the whole aim behind Yhwach’s actions but here we get the most significant piece. In short, The Balance exists in a way that alienates the Quincy by nature, this Balance was made in a way that seemingly consigned Quincies to extinction. - Many questioned why Yhwach even deactivates his "Almighty" in the first place. I believe it's because he's trying to get Ichigo to see things his way and he’s gauging Ichigo’s improvement (That’s why he’s using the same moves he used during the 1st clash), plus if anything happens he can activate it at any time so it's a non-issue in his eyes. - Sidenote: Fans speculate that Ichibei sent Ichigo ahead knowing that he’d be necessary to kill the Soul King. I'm only noting it cause the "why" will be very important much later. - Sidenote 2: Here again Yhwach activates his Almighty 9 minutes into the episode. or 9;09 to be exact. - Sidenote 3: This episode really shows how strong Ichigo is, people forget that he's fighting in his new Shikai state, and he was able to overpower Yhwach in his base state...So just Imagine his Bankai. Here are the translations for the mid-screens 1: The Almighty Omniscient and Omnipotent The power of Yhwach's holy letter "A". It allows him to see into the entire future, and when activated, multiple pupils appear in his eyeballs. Yhwach considers his eyes, which have manifested their power to be "proof of being a true Quincy", and he can "know" everything he sees, and take and give away the "power" he knows. There is no room for "understanding" or "countermeasures" to intervene. 2: Triplet World The three worlds of the Child and the Paradise of Sand were separated, separating "life" and "death." Three worlds, Soul Society, the present world, and Hueco Mundo, separated from the world of spirits, the vessel and the primordial sea by the existence of the foundation that controls the flow and the wedge of the world. Also, Ishida’s power evolution make much more sense in the anime with all the fights he’ll be having. In the manga, all of a sudden he was super strong and you just had to accept it.

Btw, there were a few clues already of ishida’s power, like whenever something kinda odd happened, the camera would pan to Ishida’s face. But, it’s totally normal for you guys not to pick that up, it’s super subtle. The actual explanation will be done on cour 4.

[Tidbits Ep.27] - A cool thing the production did was use the recap to play into the "Kaiser Gesang" or the Hymn of the Quincy King, it goes: The confined Quincy King regains his pulse after 900 years. His mind after 90 years. His strength after 9 years. And the world in 9 days. So what they did was have the moment happen 9 minutes into this episode - Uryu's seems to use some sort of Partial looking Volstanding which takes strong visual resembelence to his former "Letzt Stil" which makes sense given that the Volstanding is practically an evolution of that technique. - Uryu's win may come off as off as odd but know that it'll all make more sense eventually. Tho I should say we saw something similar occur in the last season when Yhwach somehow suddenly escaped the cage. And as noted Uryu is also "A" we just don't know what his "A" stands for yet (but the story is giving hints) - Ichibei obviously shares visual ties with Buddhist monks. Buddha reached Enlightenment through suffering. Enlightment allows for a person to ascend beyond the cycle of life and rebirth. I find this fascinating in that Ichibei's technique was meant to remove Yhwach from the cycle, yet he views/uses it as a means of punishment. (It's almost as if he's somewhat of a perversion of what the Buddha is meant to be) - Just a note for anyone confused. Yhwach's power "A The Almighty" makes it so that anything he sees he will "know" and any power he "knows" will become his ally. Those powers cannot be used to defeat or harm Yhwach, which is why he easily beats Ichibei. This power is especially dangerous when you factor in that he can see into the future as well. - Sidenote: In Buddhism it is implied that a Buddha has a limitless life span, I presume Kubo merged this concept with the idea of names so that as long as there are those who know Ichibei he will never truly die. - There are unique circumstances revolving around the 0 Squad and life/death which isn't revealed into later using light novels (I wont say what because it may be added to the anime) - Sidenote 2: The voice actor for Uryu let us know that we may want to view this episode a few times over and pay attention to what Uryu is doing. (I presume that has some implications as to something unique or special going on with Uryu and his powers/Like what happened with that drop of blood or his eyes turning Red?) - Sidenote 3: Ichibei said, "I don't need you to kill him" fans should definitely question why? and best believe you'll get an answer. We learned of Yhwach's motives in the last drop, that he wants to rid the world of this cycle of life and death and now we get his reasoning for it. We now know that he is the son of the Soul King and Yhwach was born from the Soul King as a Quincy. However, the world that he shaped and molded was something that, for the Quincy's, "did not fit into the system of this world" as Urahara said. This is Yhwach's justification to this war, to give his people a world that will accept their existence, despite being a homicidal maniac himself. The Soul Society on the other hand, are trying to protect the world that the Soul King created and maintains.

You’re both right! Yhwach’s motivation stems from the fact that he can feel the misery and pain of the ones that passed (which the soul king caused by creating life and death). And yes the Soul King being essentially a puppet with no limbs and being used to stabilize the world is a humiliating state to see your father in lol

i hope court 4 adapt some things from CFYW (canon novel) because a lot of the lore about the soul king, ichibei , squad 0 and the five nobles families, which are the founder of soul society (Shiba clan, Kuchiki clan, Shihōin Clan, Tsunayashiro clan, the fifth one is unknown) is explain there but not in the manga (for example, not a spoil, ichibei and the soul king are very very old, their age is at least a million of years)

Just to comment/clarify about what Ron talked about in intro. At least for me and maybe some others the problem wasn't that you were talking its that you were actually not "reacting", that was the main thing. You were trying to guess about what's going to happen or other things instead of watching and talking about the cool stuff in the current scene. We want to see your reaction to what is going on instead of ignoring it, like maybe oh that's crazy the quincy had a machine gun and ichibei deflected it, that's just a dumb example but you can react to whatever you want. Another way to put it, is it is infinitely less interesting to see you guess what will happen than it is to see your reaction to what IS happening (the main reason people watch reactions) You guys are usually great and Ron was wasted so I get it lol. Most of us understand the difficulties of reacting, no shade, and we definitely want you to watch however you want and to get your honest experience, that's why we are here.

This is gonna be mentioned a 100 times in the comments, but it's stuff that can be easily missed, especially the first time you watch. I'm glad you guys watched the mini recap at the beginning. It may seem like filler of sorts, but it was intentional. Yuha "opens his eyes" at minute 9 of the episode, which is related to the song of 9s we've heard many times. Studio cooked with that. Also, it's been a year between cour 2 and 3, so a recap was kinda needed because of the cliffhanger, lol. Reminder that Ishida got the same Schrift as Yuha, which is "A". We saw that in episode 1 of cour 2. Makes sense that during Yuha's awakening Ishida popped off too. Next 2 episodes are my personal faves of this cour, simply for the characters that will be involved. Appreciation essay incoming!

Small correction, Yhwach did not really have to calculate anything because he's seen it unfold already. Only time he was calculating was when he lost use of his eyes but even then he could see a bit of the future (He knows for a fact Ichigo will cut down the SK so he tries to beat him down then recruit and educate him in cour 1 before changing his mind and deciding to leave him be)
