So far, powerscaling wise. Isshiki >> Jigen >> Fused Momoshiki >> Momoshiki > Kaguya. The gap between Momoshiki and Jigen is massive, and the gap between Isshiki and Jigen is just as big (even though they’re technically the same person).

Jigen is on a different level than momoshiki combatively and has better and more troublesome abilities. Isshiki even more so. Also it makes sense that Rock Lee and the others would not have a strategy against this guy. Naruto and Sasuke got effectively bullied by Jigen while at full power despite the strategies they used during the fight. On top of that not even Shikamaru was able to devise even a small plan against this guy. So yes the OG characters best bet was to either focus strictly on evacuating the citizens or to just bull rush him with the hopes that they hold him off while miraculously coming out alive. Isshiki just happened to be feeling generous which is why they ended up living otherwise he could have one shot them in seconds without uttering a single word.

The only thing I didn’t like about boruto but slowly getting used to it is it’s a completely different show I fell in love with Naruto because it was ninjas vs ninjas clan vs clan, village vs village, human vs human not earth vs where ever tf the otsusuki are from like bring back the writing where zabuza and haku type moments where it didn’t have to be the main characters that made you feel emotional the obito slaughtering all those ninjas when he seen rin die those are what made Naruto so great

the main thing of bother for me with the power levels was how sasuke seemingly got stronger and retained his abilities, but naruto gets the other half of kuruma off screen but we dont really see how that affects his power in the show and he is undoubtably weaker than shippuden naruto. he cant fly, he has no truth seeking balls, he aint restoring ppls eyes like with kakashi, he isnt stopping the eight gate of death. although he does rasen shurikans like in the last in base form rather than sage mode, he uses earth nature to protect boruto vs momoshiki i think and maybe water style against boruto in a spar but other than that, nothing really to go off also i think he still has a connection to the tailed beasts as im sure i remember of a lava rasenshurikan somewhere so why is that not being utilised for this fight here surely the tailed beasts wouldnt mind helping against a world threatening foe like i dont think ishiki just gonna ignore all the other tailed beasts thankfully i think they do well with the power scaling outside of this and how they tie it in to things but how narutos power was handled was my biggest gripe with the show, watching any fight hes in i couldnt enjoy as much even if only a little, by simply knowin im watching a for-no-reason weaker naruto

I think Isshiki is way stronger than Momoshiki. When Naruto and Sasuke were fighting Momoshiki, they were able to defeat his normal form easily. It was the transformed Momoshiki that was a slight problem to them, but they defeated him too. Isshiki is different because he hasn’t undergone any metamorphosis and managed to defeat Naruto and Sasuke while in Jigen’s body in which he was technically weaker in (the same goes for Momoshiki in Boruto). And considering that Isshiki is also canonically considered to be stronger than KAGUYA tells you everything.

Y’all cut them some slack😭 they’ve had to endure multiple hype and impactful episodes the past few weeks in Boruto and Bleach. It can be draining on them. At least we’re getting 4 episodes regardless this week, whether it’s one today and 3 on Wednesday or the usual 2 on Mondays and 2 on Wednesday. Can’t wait for the triple drop!

I know it’s kind of a nitpick, but I’m a little sad they cut out the scene from the manga where Isshiki begins his assault on Konoha by…asking around for Kawaki’s location politely. He just walks around the village asking random civilians about Kawaki like he’s asking a supermarket employee where the bread is, until he gets attacked anyway. I always liked that nonchalant aspect of Isshiki’s personality because he just doesn’t feel threatened.
